So now I am faced with the problem of creating a story around this teams name)

Darkie was an old and retired soldier. In his long career he had seen many countries and had amassed a substantial sum of gold. During the wars he took part in - he used to refer to them as 'travels' - he often saw people playing BloodBowl.
As he now is retired, old and not as healthy as he used to be, he didn't want to play himself, but wanted to fund a team. He was looking for some time to find a coach willing to train the team he had in mind. The coach should be dedicated enough to lead the team for a long time to come. The team needed to run for a long time, as Darkie had put all his money into that venture and he was painfully aware that he needed the gold generated by that team.
After he found a coach - myself - he negotiated a contract that left me with a meager salary (I could eat the meager leftovers after the team was done with their eating) and the imperative to play 400 matches in three years. That is roughly one game every three days. Plus - whenever possible - the team had to perform in every major tournament.

Nearly three years have passed, since I took the lead of this fragile team. There have been leaders and slaves, heroes and deaths, ups and downs. Some games we played with five players, while others saw a full roster in the reserves.
I learned to love this team.
I learned to hate this team.
I learned to fear the 'one'.
I learned that I do quite well as a coach who takes on <b>every</b> challenge.
(In tournament preptime I may not accept every challenge)
Win percentage is still well above 50%.
