The New Malaga Shockers (known colloquially as One in the Skink, due to their team logo and the generally accepted team sign) were originally a dominant lower league team in the Mechanics Blood Bowl League. Having stomped their way through eight consecutive finals, the stalwart lizards of New Malaga decided it was time to move up in the world - after all, there was no honor to be gained in crushing defeats like that in a small league. So One in the Skink moved up to the Vermillion Blood Bowl League, and took its hordes of fans with it. Previously, they had been a big fish (THE big fish) in a small pond, and the One in the Skink fans waited with baited breath to see how their beloved team would play in a bigger league, on a bigger stage. And they did not disappoint. Going six games into the VBBL without a loss and snatching the VBBL Open title was an accomplishment few fans had expected from the team, and honestly, they had not expected themselves. Even more astonishing was the season-ending VBBL Championship, which One in the Skink walked away with after a 2-1 win over Crazy Hijinks. |
