Background A Scandinavian Canadian is a Canadian citizen with ancestral roots in Scandinavia. The highest concentration of Scandinavian Canadians is in Western Canada, especially British Columbia, Alberta and Saskatchewan. There are nearly 1.2 million Canadians of Scandinavian descent, or 4% of the total population of the country. Also, it sounds nice when you say it and it's vaguely Nordic so I thought it would be a good name and theme for a Norse team. Timeline: 13/08/15 - The Scandis entered their first match in a shoot out for the newly produced title belt. So new it was that it didn't have a name... The Scandis won the game against Not Another Coup D'Etat with an MVP performance from TD scoring Ulf Leslie Nielsen. Obviously, there was nothing to do but name the title after him. 10/01/17 - The Scandis defeat Contaminated Foodchain 2-1 to win the coveted Million Gobbo Trophy and end their 18 month reign of terror. The trophy is currently undergoing a deep clean as none of the Scandis could bring themselves to actually pick it up during the celebrations in case they picked up something nasty.
