Silverbark began his career as a Greenwood Bouncer protecting the woodland realm of the Elves from Men of the Empire.
After he realised he was far too good at hitting things he decided that his talents could get him further in life if he applied them in other ways. After hearing rumours of a new sport in Mootland he set out in search of a new career. Naturally Jojo was more than happy to have him on the team.
As an ex-player of a Wood Elf team, 'The Green Runners', Quickbeam had always felt out of place. As his name might suggest he has always been a faster than average tree but when he was on the pitch with the elves he had barely heard the whistle before his team had scored. In the transfer window of 2015 Quickbeam was offered a contract with the Mootlings and gladly accepted, keen to show the crowds how fast he really was.
Lord Hornsby was one of the key founding members of the Mootling's. He was essential as both a frontline player and also a financial backer. Hornsby provided almost 10,000,000 gold of the original cash to fund the creation of the team. Despite this over 8,000,000 of this was spent on the halftime feast of the teams' first match. The rest of the money was invested in extra-large helmets for the treemen.
Commonly found in the Halfling Mess celebrating victories, Brandy is the renegade of the Mootlings. Every team needs a hothead who will do anything to see victory and Brandy fills that role perfectly. If you want someone to land a loop the loop throw into a gang of angry orks then this is the Hobbit for the job. Rumour has it that he once stole a Dwarven Deathroller and used it to score 15 touchdowns in one match!
Little Jojo is the founding member of the Mighty Mootlings. Jojo came to his fortune after selling cheese wheels to Skaven renegades. As owner and manager of the team naturally he had to play a few games with them first! After realising his playing skills were not quite good enough to meet the high standards he expects from his team he has since retired and now manages and coaches the team full time.
Tom was born into the sport. His father was the Great Jimbo 'Jarhead' Tickleson, a legendary player of the Seenburg Seahawks, who is rumoured to have killed a Ogre during a particularly brutal game. Tom plans to continue in his fathers footsteps and has his eyes set on killing at least 5!
Timmy grew up in the hills of Aver March just south of Stirland. As a child he always loved sports, especially those with balls. Every night he would practice his throwing and catching. For almost a decade he passed the ball against the wall of his house. This continued until one day he heard news of a team forming in the Moot. Timmy went to tryouts and just by the fact he knew what a ball was made it onto the original team.
A legend of countless matches. Bonny has been through it all! Broken bones, sprains, torn ligaments and even major haemorrhage. Despite this Bonny is a survivor. He may not be too good at playing the ball but he sure knows how to take a hit.
Jack is a dreamer and a key driver in the formation of the original team. He always had big plans for the Halfling race and forming a professional team was a main part of them. He knew that for the Halfings to be respected by the other sentient species it would be important for them to prove themselves on the pitch. Since then Jack has developed a harsh training regimen to make sure the Flings that play for the Mootling's are the best of the best!
Although not technically a sportman. Binny is so small he managed to sneak onto the pitch during the team's first game. After he was mistaken for the ball by the opposing team the coach decided to keep him on as having one of your players thrown around by both sides seemed like a real advantage.
George always wanted to join the circus as a juggler. However during 2510 his audition with the local troupe didn't exactly go to plan and he was almost eaten my a hungry troll. Fortunately for George his escape was witness by Little Jojo, the Mootling's future manager. 5 years later when Jojo formed his team the talents of Mr Goldbelt were not forgotten. George's juggling skills were quickly adapted to ball handling and he is now an essential part of the team.
The Redjacket's were one of the original semi-pro Halfling teams formed over 2 generations ago. The team members were all from the same family and naturally arguments between the players eventually led to family feuds and the decline of the team. Fortunately some of the Redjacket's still play the sport and have been essential in forming the core of the Mootling's.
Ronnie is the Master Chef incarnate. Without him there would be no halftime feast and no second breakfast. No matter what the team fancies Ronnie can make it. It is rumoured that half the Mootling's fans only come for Ronnie's food at half time. Perhaps one day the team will actually be famous for winning!
Jon 'Jimmy' Jefferson is the supplementary mayor elect of Mootland. This honorary position is know as the 'Feast Master'. When the Mighty Mootling's were formed Jon suggested that if he wasn't allowed to play there would be enforced rationing for all his subjects. Naturally there was no way a Halfling could survive with any less than 7 meals a day so Jon was invited onto the team.
Benny 'B' Bongo is possibly the most useless of all Halflings. Noone is sure why his is on the team but once you join the Mootlings you commit for life. Despite this Benny has shown he worth on during many matches by carry water and extra cookies for the rest of the team to eat during the half time feast.
