Pittsburgh Scabbers
Retired [L] Nurgle (CIBBL)

Nurgle's finest, the Pittsburgh Scabbers, burst onto the Blood Bowl scene in the year of Sigmar, 2601, taking over a small leper colony in the commuter belt of Norsca to host their games, in return for assorted body parts.

Originally formed as an amateur academy for the legendary Chaos All Stars in 2429, the Scabbers made the jump to the pro leagues after a renowned local cultist, Norn Kergut, managed to convince a Beast of Nurgle - Big Ben Rottingsburger - to play for the team on a permanent basis, in exchange for his soul.

The cultist was immediately devoured by the Beast, who had no intention of keeping his side of the bargain, but after being shown around the teams facility by Head Coach and former Chaos All Stars toilet attendant Mike Dirtyka, the newly born abomination decided to dip his tentacles into the world of professional sport with the promise of riches, silverware and untold amounts of bile.

Spurred on by his new acquisition, Dirtyka set about gathering a motley crew of cast-off Bloaters and Rotters from the North Western penal legions at Sweynseye.

The Chaos All Stars reluctantly allowed Dirtyka the chance to go it alone (mostly after getting sick of the smell), and so began the career of a very unlikely but plucky bunch of upstarts in the CIBBL.
