It's fortunate that Miragliano is Tilea's closest city to Athel Loren, it took me ages to find my way out of that forest. And then I had to pilfer some clothes from a farmhouse - couldn't go to ramchop's last game starkers now could I? haha. Made it just in time.

The atmosphere in the Chapel was amazing. How they managed to cram 25,000 screaming fans into that tiny ground I'll never know. I was a fair bit away from the coaches box this time. But I assume the cloaked figure there was Remo. He looked utterly dejected, so I guess Leo's threats are real.

A 3-0 thrashing. Tilea will be looking for a new coach next season. No need for that interview after all. He's a has been.

Nuln Fans cost Griffins Victory
Debby Demonbreeder – Sports Reporter for the Altdorf Daily

The RAU Griffins have issued the CBBA a "please explain" after the match officials put extra time on the clock following a fan riot from the Nuln City Gunners supporters in reaction to their team conceding a crucial late touchdown in the first half. The ugly scenes saw several spectators injured and some pitch damage which would later cause a few players to trip up in the second half. The Gunners made the most of the extra time on the clock to score a late touchdown, which the Griffins Captain, Klopstock argues "would not have been possible."

It ended up costing the Griffins a much needed victory with the match finishing 2-2 with a buzzer beater touchdown from Killer right at the end of the game. The match itself was highly entertaining with the Gunners playing an up-tempo, high pressure, high risk style that paid off for most of the game.

The CBBA has not officially responded to the Griffins demands for an inquiry.

Remas Gazette

VC RIP!
Shocking murder at the TRU Campus

by Anon

The Vice Chancellor's Residence at the Remas Campus has been cordoned off as police investigate the death of Dr Leopoldo Andaloro. The death has rocked TRU as Dr Andaloro was a much loved and respected member of its community. Sources tell us that police have ruled out accidental death or natural causes.

We had this confirmed by the cleaning lady who discovered the body. Mrs Ysabel Abbruzzese of Buco di Merda, spoke to us under the condition of strict anonymity.

"When I enter his apartment, I see two hamsters by the front door trying to get out. This is not too unusual as Mr Leo has strange tastes. Many times I have to clean up his toys. But today I find him on his bed. Blood was everywhere. His throat was slit open wide. And on his forehead was carved a word 'Convinced?', I don't know why people do this to him. Mr Leo was a nice man. That's not the worst... you sure you no tell anybody who I am yes?.. the worst, is next to Mr Leo, was the severed head of a dolphin.. you know what that means!"

Indeed we do.

Dr Andaloro had been absent from the public eye for two days, when he surprisingly missed the awards ceremony for the victorious Great Eagles university blood bowl team. The Vice Chancellor had been scheduled to hand over the Tilean crafted Amphora trophy after the match in the Border Princes.

Police currently refuse to give interviews about the case, but we believe that they have very few leads. Tilea Diavoli management Head Coach Remo Chiappa and Assistant Coach Mila Fiore Pisciotta are understood to be helping them with their inquiries.

Round 4 Wrap Up
Debby Demonbreeder – Sports Reporter for the Altdorf Daily

We're at the business end of the season now where the games are worth that little bit more as teams fight the battle not only to be the best of the league, but the best of their division.

In the Southerners Conference the Diavoli fought hard to restrict the Great Eagles to one touchdown and secure a 1-1 draw despite being underdogs. The Great Eagles were their own worst enemies at times but the Diavoli can be proud of an improved effort. The Chavaliers appeared to be deflated after their loss against the Griffins and certainly didnt appear up for the game against the Confederates who put in a strong performance to win 3-1. Carlito Gomez starred for the Feds with two touchdowns and some good rushing yardage, it looks like things may be coming together in the Border Princes.

In the Frostbelt Conference the Bulls hot streak was ended by a clinical defensive effort from the Yhetees. The Yhetees wrestling, hussling style appeared to be the perfect foil to the Bulls, helped by Laut's lack of impact. The Bears overcame some early bashing from arch rivals the Buccs to somehow pull off a 1-0 victory. The Bears managed to dictate the game style, forcing a scrappy affair and capitalising through tenacity. The post season won't be happening for the Buccs, but they still have a lot to play for.

In the Great North Road Conference the Clippers continued to fumbbl and bumble through another dour game, resulting in a 0-1 loss to the Wolfpack. The Clippers need to find some consistency, like what was on display from the Wolfpack who played their typically disciplined yet unspectacular style. In the other game, the excitement levels went through the roof as the Manticores produced their first victory over the Harlequins. It was the typical Harlequins tail, not enough players to take the pitch despite their skill. The Manticores blocked well and put together their only consistent performance of the season.

In the Food Bowl Conference we only saw the one game played. The Axemen were unable to attend their game in Bechafen due to the sudden closure of their transport company, Stirland Coach Co. The Falcons were awarded a victory by default. As expected, the Stallions accounted for the Cockerels but perhaps should have done so in a more convincing fashion. The Cockerels once again showed plenty of fight as coach Mushoomy becomes a contender for promotion to a real team next season for his excellent work.

Finally, in the AIC the Gunners and Griffins played out an exciting draw as both teams aired it out with 5 completed passes. The 2-2 draw saw all four touchdowns come from desperation late in each half. Meanwhile, the Scorpions finally showed some life with an excellent team performance to win their game against the Panthers. The Panthers never really got into the game as the Scorpions executed their game plan perfectly. Coach Semitence will be excited to see his young team finally show that they have the ability to follow instructions.

BECHAFEN UNIVERSITY STUDENT PRESS

AXEMEN FAIL TO APPEAR!
Reinhardt Wilhelm

The failure of the Axemen to appear earlier this week at our scheduled match was disappointing, to say the least. Rumours abounded, with some saying the Fighting Cockerels, worried about facing us at our best, tried to boost the Axemen with some traditional Halfling stew - which is, as a reminder to all humans in the University, extremely toxic towards humans due to the addition of Ambriose Excilia, a mushroom only safe for Halflings and Greenskins.

Reality proved far more disappointing, however, with Stirland Coach Co being blamed for the failure to show. Stirland Coach Co. was closed due to bankruptcy two weeks ago, and failed to inform any of their clients, leaving them stranded. Next up, the Fighting Cockerels - a match that will no doubt be in favour of the Falcons. Go Falcons!

Farce or Innovation?
Urlso Press

Head Coach DrDiscoStu is now the subject of much controversy due his actions in the recent loss. 1-0 down with the yhetees streaking towards the end zone, he went into the opposition dugout and started threatening coach tussock!

"Give me the ball or we will just start fouling you" was the repeated threat, though it failed to work, Urslo indeed started fouling. Repeatedly. After the score tussock could be heard pleading "but you have the ball" of which it was far too late for any deal, and match degenerated into Urslo ignoring the ball in order to make good on their promise of mayhem.

The Daily Expose
Anna Nemas - Sports Reporter

Sources inside the CBBA have today claimed that the likelihood of a CBBA Bowl match being played between teams NOT of the AIC would be detrimental to the league. The word from the highest office in the Association is that this would be an "...anti-climax..." and that the "...virtue of the teams..." is fit only for a '...red ribbon bowl..."

This can only be attributed to the miserable mewlings of scared old men, particularly in light of the incredibly lacklustre performances put forward thus far by the All Imperial teams. Since the new start to the league, the traditional powerhouses have looked as slow, conservative and ineffective as the institutions that bind them. The Panthers and the Scorpions have been particularly mediocre, but even the supposed pinnacle of College football - the Griffins - have struggled to find form.

By stark contrast, it is some of the newer, or overlooked Colleges (and their teams) who have delighted and surprised. The Bulls - still hitting hard but now remembering the ball! The Yhetees - showing off a new, brave style with flair! The Stallions - Still undefeated this season, and all but guaranteed a Bowl spot!

From the results of the games played thus far, it is plain to see - in the eyes of this newspaper, and in those of the Fans - that the 'virtue' of these teams is far from lacking. What is lacking, is the bravery of scared old men, who cannot bear to think that their safe little worlds are about to come crashing down...

Erengrad University public statement on genius of wrestle bowl innovation

Erengrad CBBA Yhetees fiery display of brilliance drives great Urlso Bears into misdirected frenzy. Brilliant coaching from assistants sees Vladislav threaten ball, assist Evgeny to smash threat Auóuun from game, further to finally gather loose ball, and lastly to score. Showing real potential, family very proud, boy listen to coaching.

Next half was Svitlana show, doing all, score two more, best result for team ever seen, despite hurt from Bears. Fans strike even more fiery display in Urlso after match, but no one important die still so is not problem. Proud away game tradition for surviving fans now.

Last match will face only remaining serious team unplayed in competition, Peninsular Buccs. Must continue greatness, team serious now, wrestle bowl to demolish not only weak Imperials, but whole North Wind division in true display of Kislevite power. Is wrestle bowl, teams all copy now. You see.

We lost again!

First attempt at this so lets see if this works.

It's not a surprise we lost again. This season has been fraught with disaster ever since the preseason mauling and that damn mascot. Not only have the team been sick from various teleportation or soup sources but the two death mid season have caused the team moral to be extremely low.
Only three members from the original squad are now left, Myself, Georg and Wigand. Georg is always angry now he can't drink anymore and with his friend Gregor dead all he want to do is hit things, which if we can funnel it might be useful.

That leaves me and Wigand to lift the team spirits, so we took them all out last night but after some unfortunate problems we ended up at a gambling ring where admittedly the team had fun but the coach managed to lose quite a bit of the teams funds.
It does not look good for the coming seasons or the next game vs the Gunners.

Griffins Celebrations Short Lived - Look Ahead To Blockbuster
Debby Demonbreeder – Sports Reporter for the Altdorf Daily

Most teams would be ecstatic with a victory over the Panthers. For many programs it would mark a monumental achievement. Not the Griffins. Such is the professionalism of the Griffins program, the team barely celebrated their most recent victory.

Captain Eagle Eye summed it up, "we have the biggest game of the season coming up. The biggest rivalry between the two biggest teams in the CBBA. We have a Bowl appearance on the line. It just doesn't get bigger than that!"

The Griffins appear to be focused and composed ahead of the showdown in Altdorf. It's going to be a cracker.

The Harlequins were humiliated by the Manticores in their Round 4 game, arrogantly thinking they could go in to the match without a bench. A humbled MCC outfit will be looking to redeem themselves in tonight's Inter-Conference match against the Clippers. Kickoff is at 9pm. #CBBA #Harlequins #Redemption

From bad to worse for the Harlequins, being obliterated by the Clippers. The final game of the season will be against the Wolfpack, surely things can't get worse than this?#CBBA #Harlequins #DarkDays

Luccini Student Association Press

Who'll be the new VC?

More than a week after the funeral of respected Vice Chancellor Dr Leopoldo Andaloro, Tilean Regional University has begun its selection process for his replacement. Dr Andaloro held his position for a massive 34 years, so this is a rare and exciting event in University politics.

An impressive 18 candidates have stepped forward seeking appointment. The most likely contenders come from the large faculties like the repulsive Prof Conti from the Veruco Faculty of Sport, Dean Giordano from the Remas Medical School, and our own respectable Dean Gallo at Luccini Law. At the other end of the spectrum are the ridiculous, there's an Assistant Tutor at the Sartosi Dept of Fisheries Science, and somehow a deranged beggar from the streets Miragliano who credits a life of success to a solid education in Commerce got himself a nomination.

The candidates have differing views on many subjects. Not surprisingly the Verucan Horse Ass wants to shut down the Luccini Law School saying there's a perfectly good alternative in Remas. One candidate has even touted the silly notion of opening the University doors to female students. But one thing there's almost unanimous agreement on - Diavoli coach Remo Chiappa must go!

Mass Beaching on the shores of Tilea

In environmental news, there has been a beaching of a pod of dolphins at Cappo Cinno in the south of Luccini. Seventeen corpses have washed up on the shore. Marine biologists have stated this is not unusual as it is a seasonal occurrence and often happens at this time of year. What is strange, however, is that all of the carcasses were missing their heads.
