So it kicks off today? When do we see the Drafters list? |
Season 59 Draft Closes: 16/03/15
Monday 23rd March, I'd say... |

That sounds a bit harsh. What is it that excludes them? |
Team Caps. Individual SPP caps. |
As far as I can see your team is below the team cap for halflings. As for the SPP cap, I suggest you make a sober enquire about an amnesty, as I doubt legend flings and rooted trees are the reason for this cap rule. |

I have 130 in MNG, which puts my tourney weight at 1680.
As for the sober enquiry, has already been made... |

Oh, wasn't aware it was tourney weight. Hm... Unfortunate. |

General Announcement
Trial of Blood
There has been some misinformation/miscommunication surrounding the trial Trial of Blood process.
Please read on for clarifications and changes.
1: Drafting dates and start of Trial
As stated on the Group page, the draft closes on the 16/03/15. This date will remain; in light of the interest generated by the earlier ToB announcement however, a 'Primary Draft' announcement will take place ONE week before this date on 09/03/15. This will be followed by a Secondary Draft to be announced on the 16/03, for those who are late to the party.
The ToB will thus begin the day after the Primary Draft (10/03/15), and continue through until the beginning of Season LIX, making the ToB 'season' around 4 weeks long.
2: TV limits
From feedback and much discussion, the decision has been made to lift any TV limits from BLOODER Stunty/Dynamite teams. This includes Flings, Gobbos, Ogres and Underworld at this stage.
All other Blooder teams will be limited to 140TV throughout. This means coaches must make shrewd decisions on team management - this is to reflect that, at such a low level in the league, the coffers cannot carry the cost of superstars and hordes of coaching staff.
Trialling teams will be limited to 130TW (with a ZERO (0) balance treasury) to be eligible to enter the main SWL competition.
3: Inducement cash for Apothecaries
Once again, a look at the projected costs for the ToB league has revealed that there is simply no cash for such a generous outlay. There will be no free Apothecaries for teams competing in the ToB.
I hope this has cleared things up for everyone concerned. We are pleased to see such a level of interest in this new format, and hope that you can all appreciate that there are occasionally some wrinkles to iron out. |

Looks good to me. As with anything there may be kinks to iron out but I think these changes will eventuate into something better for the league. |

Yes I've always thought letting the trial start a bit earlier would be cool, good stuff swladmin
Also... rabid just beat dazed! Didn't see that one coming. Looks like we are in for a awesome ending to premier!
In other news... after Balle's awesome work on the SWL page, perhaps a certain coach who has been around for 51 seasons and has 51 seasons worth of text on their page could commission him to do a tidy up? |

Who would that be stu? I know you're not talking about the skinks cause they've been here going on 58 seasons now but I can't think of any teams that have been here for 51. |

Slumbering Skink v Malapropism Mania set for Saturday 8:30. Another big game (in a Premier season that seems to be nothing but big games) |

I did get policed the hardest (worst game in the teams history besides both deaths - apothed to -AV on bull centaurs) last game. The skinks will be facing a much reduced Mania lineup. |
