Who controls the development of the client? I wouldn't be surprised if it's actually relatively easy to make this change, but if it's just one person making all the changes I can certainly understand how they might not want to put in the time. |

hehe, eat away pythrr.
@matt; if it was relatively easily, it would've been done already. And yes, only one person is in control of client development. |

Why dont we donate, hire a programmer, and get the thing done for... 200$? |

Being able to zoom in and have the client full screen would be so great to have, hopefully in the future we will? |

Since you are in possession of full knowledge, how many hours does it take for a normal programmer to implement this feature? |

The problem is that you can not use the current code, it needs to be rewritten... which means you might as well start over from scratch in HTML5 (web browser) or some thing like Unity which could support 3d at some point. You need to redo all the sprites and images as well...
So where you think $200 (which is like 8 hours at most, hilarious)... you need to think like $10k+ if you want to hire a coder that knows what he is doing, and then you need to keep him on the payroll for support and further development. |

So basically it has to be the community finance their own new game? 1.000 coaches*10$? Completely unrealistic?
Maybe there is one with a love in this game and takes only half the hourly wage? |

I'm sure there's 3rd party zoom tools available, likely built in for those with tiny screens and massive resolution. Windows magnifying glass has already been mentioned. |

That is just wishful thinking considering that on average the monthly costs to run the site are not even covered by donations despite 1.7k coaches played at least one game the last ~30 days. (and it is probably closer to 25k plus another 500 a month for a year or two after that) And not mentioning the possible lawsuit if we hire a coder to create a new client that would compete with Cyanide's mess.
What we need is a new guy, crazy as Kalimar was ~6-7 years ago, with the coding skills and dedication to spend 2 year of his free time on a project. Until then we have the pleasure of playing with this client. |

Actually the sprites look quite good, maybe even better when scaled up. It has that big pixel nostalgic feel on them.
But yeah, the coding would still be a massive job to do.
I wonder how much it would cost to order it from India, and what kind of quality you could get Another option would be to hook up some super rich oil sheik on fumbbl, who could spent any amount of money on the client. |

Worth noting the recent development regarding this idea. |
