That's right, the Southern Survivalists League is gunna kick off again, on the 21st of July.

Oz timezone, custom rules, regular league teams, SSL is getting older but the fundamentals remain the same.

In Season 13, the Vamps stole it. A long run of unfailing gazes, pows galore, and perfect ball handling took them all the way to title for the 2nd time in their 12th attempt. As no team has won three times in SSL, that's as good as it gets.

Spiked balls! If it's not trying to kill your team, it's not on our pitch. Except for right stuff players, who get all kinds of boosts.

For season 14, we're welcoming in (depending on the draft as always), regular league Brettonian and Khorne rosters.

New teams start down in Red Mountains with the Ogres, Frogs, Underworld or similar, we're in need of up to three coaches who'll go into the random draw for Brettonian, Khorne, Necromantic Horror, or Shambling Undead rosters. Or you can pick Flings or maybe Unders.

Beyond the mountains lie The Blasted Plains where our Elf Union, Human, Lizardmen, Flings, Woodies, and Zons will battle it out, all fairly young, or very beat up old teams.

Image Image Image Image Image Image
Further on lies Paintree Rainforest with a plucky young Dark Elf squad who almost went all the way taking on Chaos Dwarfs, Nurgles, Vampires, Skavens, and Chaos Chosen. These squads are either very big and very beaten up, or just not quite of the sort of power to take on the big six.

Because beyond paintree is Whipsundays, where good teams go to die. Chaos Renegades crushed the lower divisions, Norse are the biggest of the lot and full of perms, Khemri did enough to earn a further beating, Orcs with barely a scratch on them, High Elves all blodged up and putting the hurt on, and last season's scariest of the lot, the Dwarfs.

--

The top of each round-robin division plays off for the title at the end, and the size and performance through the regular season of all returning teams determines their position in the next one, plus stunties can go up or down one at their option.

We are recruiting. PM jevouse, bigbullies, me, or leave a note or question here. Cheers. o/

Spots have gone quick really, we have one snapped up the Goblins, anyone can choose stunties.

If anyone wants to choose Halflings I can let the long-suffering halfling coach have his break before he becomes the all-time longest serving stunty coach in SSL. Very Happy

We have one more looks likely, so we still need at least one more coach and could stand a couple more beyond that if we get them.

Teams in the random draw, Brettonian, Khorne, Necromantic Horror, Shambling Undead.

Option on Flings if anyone wants 'em, or maybe Underworld if we have a crowd and people are keen. Cheers all.

Kicking off in a week, the big dorfs are out, so we definitely still need one more coach and if we don't get everyone else we're hoping for, room for a couple more too.

Let us know, got Sergtacos taken the Goblins, and Weresquid in the draft.

Waiting to hear about an old SSL dorf team maybe rejoining before they're added to the draft list.

What's the longest time people have spent with stunty? Or with Ogres...

Two blocks, one of 4 seasons and one of 5 seasons each for the Coort-In-Guyz Council Cretins

First block had none of the stunty exceptions in place. The second was much more enjoyable, but the dreaded RL means two online leagues was one too many.

Season XIII
The Blasted Plains
Season XII
The Blasted Plains
Season XI
Red Mountains
Season X - Tiering Introduced
Paintree Rainforest
Season IX
Paintree Rainforest

Season VI
Paintree Rainforest
Season V
Paintree Rainforest
Season IV
Whitsundays
Season III
Paintree Forest

Re Ogre specifically: Wasteland Idols (coach Semitence) did 5 Seasons, again mostly without the benefits of the Stunty exceptions in the rules.

Hot Sake (whom you know well Wink ) has done 5 as per the League Page.

Other 3 seasons were the Gaussian Rebels (coach LictorZ)

41 games for the Terrors. That's two more than those goblins.
