Spiraling Expenses...
I just noticed in my most recent game (https://fumbbl.com/p/match?id=3672409) I had 50K spiraling expenses. My TV is nowhere near the 2000s, so where did that come from? Was it because I dumped almost a million into the game for inducements?

That's new. I'd never heard of that before. That makes dumping millions at a time to have access to everything just for the hell of it, a lot less fun. 50000 the maximum spiraling expenses, then?

I wouldn't say a lot less fun as it's just throwing away more money. If you don't need the money then it still wouldn't matter.
Can't remember the exact values, but I do remember that there is no maximum to the amount you can lose to spiraling expenses. It hits a limit around 2350 I think & for every 100tv there on is another 10000k.
The numbers could be wrong as I can't be bothered to look up the rules again for you. :P
