ARC- DLE Pre-Season 7 Rankings
Here they are... They start familiar, but possibly end a little different. Enjoy and post your opinions below!

32) Skar Bay Sharks- No tanking known to be going on to the degree that the 1horns did last season. So the Guppies take their almost perpetual spot at the bottom.

31) Monte Castello Wreckers- MCW doesn't look to be the powerhouse that they were once considered. Their Roster ranks 24th in TW and their current coach is still getting his DLE legs under himself going 1/3/6 in the league so far.

30) Averheim River Bandits- Is this team the Bandits from the Averheim River or are they the River Bandits from the great city of Averheim? I always thought it was the former, but I now notice that their logo just says "Bandits" this is one reason I usually just refer to them as ARB. 22nd Roster and 7/8/15 under current head coach doesn't point in anywhere above 30th in these rankings.

29) Wolfenburg Wolfskins- Oh how the Mighty have fallen. The Pelts in the past 3 Preseasons have been ranked 8th, 3rd, and 4th. But since that time a Lil Laskas was spawned and the great coach made the decision to be a family man and handed over the reins to the annual Powerhouse Wolfenburg Franchise 1 game into season 6. Coach RatBane is still learning the ropes of the league, and the learning curve is steep. With the 26th ranked roster, and a 2/4/9 DLE record he will continue to suffer his lumps.

28) Altdorf Thunderbolts- Speaking of suffering lumps 'Bolts coach 71 has likely suffered more than anyone. His 1 sided rivalry with the Patriots has caused much pain in Altdorf. From the season 1, game 1 murder of Franchise player, Jerry "The Rev" Harris to The season 4, 0-5 shellacking to the 57 CAS suffered at the hand of the Pats in the now 11 straight losses to the team. Last season's win total of 4 is a franchise high. But the overall regular season record still ranks at 31st in league history. So until the 'Bolts prove otherwise... 28 is about as high as I can go.

27) Muckenhof Manticores- Here is another long time coach, with not a lot of success. The 'Cores rank just one spot above the 'Bolts in the All-time Regular season record category. The silent coach of the Manticores AKA Fischer might have the ship headed in the right direction. Ranking 11th in the league in TW possibly shows that things are starting to click. But we are cautious to bump this team just because of that. Prove it on the pitch and the rankings will climb.

26) San Luis 49ers- Starting to think I have a "new coach bias" here. Coach GotrekSlayer has shown signs of life in San Luis. They were the only team to defeat the Eagles last season, and played to almost .500 (4/5/6) overall. However, there are some things to learn about DLE, that I believe Gotrek has yet to learn. Life here is brutal. You have to take some measures to protect players or you are going to struggle. Gotrek inherited a team that was Top 5 in the league in TW. Only the "Guppies" had a larger NEGATIVE growth last season than did the Noners. Until he shows that this is a lesson learned I am not comfortable ranking him much higher than this.

25) Carroburg Crimson Cascade- Damn that is a long name, no wonder I usually just write 3C. 3C and coach Tim Torvatn have brought much to the league since joining in season 2. However, the heydays when "the Painters" had something to really cheer about seem to be long gone. Even as a self proclaimed historian of the DLE, I can not remember what happened to 3C in season 4. But that was the season that bridged the Awesome 9/2/5 playoff season, and the Awful 0/1/15 season to forget. Sadly with the 3rd lowest TW in the league I think 3C is closer to the season 5 paint drips than the Season 3 5-Gallon Pail.

24) Wolfsbach Scimitars- First let me do something a little different here, I'll save my usual drivel for the end of the blurb. The Butterknives have the 5th lowest TW in the league. From the End of last season to the beginning of this one they lost TW. I did not follow their actions close enough to explain this, but needless to say that is going in the wrong direction. Maybe they have totally bought into my Butterknives drivel. The bit that I have spewed for several seasons that so far has always played out. Even vs Odd... Season 2=(7/2/5), Season 3=(2/1/13), Season 4=(7/6/3), Season 5=(5/4/7), Season 6=(9/4/3)... with the pattern season 7 will be a losing record.

23) Great Ogham Griffins- Some seem to be high on the 'Fins. 2 individuals (or was it the same one twice?) predicted them as champs. I am not as confident. They play a pretty tough schedule some of which include: Champs twice, Pats twice, Unicorns, Eagles, Razorbacks, 49ers, Bruisers, and Bucs. With a coach with a .298 win percent in 57 DLE matches, I don't see a winning record this season. Sorry Ben... Prove me wrong!

22) Norden Legion- Just gonna lay this out here. I personally think JackH is a very good coach. IMO definitely in the upper half of this league. I've seen him do some good things in game (but also some things I question, but I digress...) I do however believe he is still trying to grasp the Meta of DLE. Until he proves to grasp that I continue to put him and his 26th TW team in the bottom half.

21) Templehof Thunder- I love this team. I love the facelift it was given when the new management came in. I really like some of the pieces on the team. I love the coach. Yishwaagh has come in and beaten the bottom feeders, lost to the better DLE experienced coaches. And tied with the middle of the pack coaches. I expect good things Templehof's future. But for now I place 19th ranked TW team right here.

20) Talabheim Sluggers- In his first full season coach datom took the Sluggers where no previous coach had taken them. To the post season. Although I believe that was more a reflection of the state of the KFC-Least and not exactly a sign of great power from Talabheim. This season, with the return to form of the Gunners and my predicted rise of the Thunder, a repeat for the Slugs is unlikely.

19) Kemperbad Knights- The once mighty mid-Knights don't feel so mighty any longer. Their TW ranks 7th in the league this season, but their division no longer belongs to them. And last season they barely had a winning season, and their 2nd half was sub par. With the only wins coming vs Skar Bay and Muckenhof. The Knights seem to have the roster built up. So I guess it's time for The_Demon to prove to us that the SuperBowl victory wasn't a fluke. :)

18) Los Cabos Marauders- The monkey at the helm of this franchise had me scratching my head at the end of last season. The decision to tear down the team to restructure seemed like a bad idea. Looking at the team now, I still feel like it was an odd decision. I do not feel that this team is any better than it was when it just missed the playoffs last season. It may not be worse either. So IMO the result of this Restructure was that at least one team improved but it wasn't LCM.

17) Barboza Bruisers- I don't know if it's because the coach has become so quiet, or because I don't play him or his team very often, but I am not a huge fan of the Bruisers. After making the playoffs for the first time last season, I am expecting a drop off this season. I predict a 3rd place finish within the division and no playoffs this season.

16) Flashfurt Universe- 1st to Worse? very possible in the ultra tight KFC-North. Coach badpublicity followed the trend of head-scratching restructures. I believe this one may have made the team worse. Dropping from the 12th highest TW at the end of last season to 3rd lowest to start this season. In a division where the coaching skill is fairly comparable, the TW has to be a determining factor.

15) Irrana Avalanche- I often talk about the competiveness of the KFC-North, and how tight things are there. However, when I look at historical numbers, the SHC-South is even more close. With the Top 3 historically within the division coming in at 11th, 12th, and 13th it doesn't get much closer. Irrana is the surprise team to me in that mix. I know that MCW was pretty great under former coach Hoodless, and the Bucs are usually in the mix in the talk of good teams. But for some reason Rhino's .554 DLE win% surprises me, even though I know about the deep playoff run and the other playoff appearance. And here I am again ranking him in the middle of the pack, but that is because he has a middle of the pack team (ranked 18th). I expect him to be fighting for a WC at season's end.

14) Grenzburg Greenskins- You may see Big TW (tied for 2nd) and a seasoned, experienced, winning (.574) coach and wonder how I can possibly have the Orks ranked this low. Well... I see roster with a dorf lineman, a slow Vamp thrower who barely throws the ball anyway, and quite a bit of bloat (2x +ST/-ST). I expect the usual out of this team. Fighting for WC or possibly with Bilbali for the division.

13) Emsk Red Cardinals- Why did coach Calthor add the "Red" to the team moniker when taking over the team when he usually just refers to them as the "Cardinals" anyway??? But it appears that the coach has once again added the Red to the Cardinals this offseason by committing the Cardinal Sin and converting to the Dark Side. Trading their 1st Round pick for a complete POMBer in Mason Taylor. Will be interesting to see how a coach who previously publicly denounced Piling On will utilize the newly acquired toy. I think it will result in more wins and possibly obtaining that elusive playoff berth.

12) Erengrad Vikings- Coach Spelledaren is one of the cream of the crop when it comes to coaches in the DLE. His win % in the league ranks 4th among active coaches. And he has usually done so with lesser teams. Once again he brings a lesser team(29th TW) to the table. But since taking over the team from former coach b4nshee between seasons 1 and 2, The Vikes faithful has not had to suffer through a losing season. They will be battling for a playoff spot this season as well.

11) Rotenbach Razorbacks- The Hawgs have a very special coach. The fact that their roster ranks 19th in TW matters not. Adding a special player such as Jamelle Lucas increases the abilities of this coach and team. Historically the opposite of division rival Wolfsbach the Piggies usually do well in the odd numbered seasons. Expect them to be fighting for a playoff spot,

10) Hargendorf Unicorns- The Tank is now a part of history in Hargendorf. 0/1/15... Now this season they hope to go from worst to 1st. It's a possiblity with coach Murk at the helm. I did not agree with "The Process" and did not even figure out the coach's win % because it's been tainted. But facts are facts. The_Murker is a Top notch coach, and in the tight KFC-N anything can happen.

9) Marienburg Foxes- Big Trades of Big Players to bring in new youth. The Foxes are one of those teams that since the hiring of coach MLS seems to always be in the thick of things, especially since the coaching change in Flashfurt seemed to open the door for this upstart coach and team. New season, new players... looking for a new (and better) result. And that would mean Conference Championship or more. But first they must survive the North!

8) Nuln Gunners- Looking to bounce back after a historically bad season for the Gunners. 5 wins was a franchise low for any season. Now with the best TW and the best coach in the K-Easy, coach horekim and his Gunners look to take aim on the rest of the DLE. Hoping for a HEADSHOT!

7) Remas Eagles- The Eagles made some moves this offseason after the most successful season in franchise history. Only 1 loss on the season, a 2/2/0 record vs teams that made the playoffs. And yet they themselves did not make it. So coach arcayn decided to pay a heft price to bring in a difference maker. Giving up a little of their trademark ST4 and Guard to obtain this player, the Eagles hope he can just convert a few of those draws to wins and help them to make the playoffs for the first time ever.

6) Brionne Buccaneers- The Bucs apparently decided to just take a rest last season, with their worst season to date. Injuries, Nuffle's whims, maybe a few coaching gaffes, all lead to a forgettable season. But this season they have re-tooled and look to be in the thick of it come playoff time.

5) Bilbali Rangers- The Butchers.. I mean Rangers, were able to earn their first playoff victory last season. So there has been steady improvement each season. if it is to continue the Rangers will need to at least make it to the Conference Championship. Losing TW during the offseason will not help that cause, but it's not something that coach CroixFer can not overcome.

4) Praag Grizzlies- This team keeps growing and growing. I used to lovingly refer to them as "the Cubs" but that no longer applies. These Bears are full fledged Kodiaks and looking to ravage all that get in their way. Coach sonrises has surpassed all expectations. He debunked all public perceptions that he is a moron who doesn't know what he is doing by leading the Grizz to The Super Bowl. Can he repeat this task and succeed this time once getting there?

3) Broekwater Patriots- "The Dynasty" had a down season last season and still made it to the Conference Championship. You can never count this team out of the Championship conversation. As well all know the Franchise and it's coach are the most successful in DLE history. But thier first lost to division rivals from Middenheim could not have come at a worse time.

2) Kislev White Wolves- Got the "No playoff win" monkey off of their back last season. This season could they possibly get rid of that "No Championships" monkey? It's a possibility, but there are lots of teams hoping to stand in their way. Fletcher Cox needs to bring one home to Kislev!

1) Middenheim Classics- The Champs and the Highest TW in the League. If they weren't in the same division as the Dynasty this would be a no brainer, but even as such I think the Curse is now on the rest of the league.

Great stuff, which was much anticipated!

Great read. Surprised to see Classics at the top though!

Very nice predictions! Lovely stuff!

I do think Bucs are placed a bit high, and Unicorns a bit low. For some reason I have great faith in Murker this season.

Rated 10! In my mind 6 is simply too low
Posted by Calthor on 2019-02-01 19:15:06
The season is only truly started with the release of the ARC - great stuff!
Posted by The_Murker on 2019-02-01 19:28:52
I clicked the 6 really fast twice, so that should register as rated a 12!
Posted by spelledaren on 2019-02-01 19:31:11
Very good!

Greenskins is in my top 10, other than that I'd take 4 steps up for Legion and Cascade, and maybe 4 steps down myself.

Top work sir!

We enjoy being underdogs. Makes it more surprising when we prove them wrong :)

Bucs ranked 6th??? Wow. We will try hard to prove ARC right, but seriously, this is likely too much praise.
Posted by spelledaren on 2019-02-02 10:07:05
Add four spaces up for Knights too I think.

I think Bucs will do well, and we'll see them in play off.

all of KFC north in upper part of league...
