First 100 Games on FUMBBL
Hey everyone!
Just completed my 100th game on FUMBBL. Must say, it is a great community with some great people around. Got some great advice on the forums and thoroughly enjoy getting involved. Well, the first 100 makes for some gruesome reading. Had some awful, hilariously bad luck, but on its own that wont always lose you games! Some poor decisions have certainly helped. Also, deciding to take on all comers was probably not the wisest decision but I have learned a lot and am having fun.
Still, I am getting better with my last 10 or so games being a vast improvement.
So, what will the next 100 bring? Hopefully it will be "up, up, up the Ziggurat, lickety-split!".
Some stats!
P100 - W13 - D15 - L72.
Scoring: 51TDs for, 186 against.
CAS: FOR - 73/31/18. Against 118/70/30 (122-218 = -96!!). Glad I don't get sad when my players shuffle off the mortal coil!
CR: 137.38 (Apparently. This would have to be a contender for the bottom of the barrel! :P)
Team played with most wins? Nurgle 4W-2D-9L
Team with best rating? Norse 2W-1D-0L (CR: 153.22)
Well, anyway, thanks for the help guys (you know who you are!) and I hope it was the first 100 games of many. Win or lose (hopefully win), Bloodbowl is an awesome game and this is a great place to play it!

Cheers! Glad your still around and enjoy to throw some dices and punches. You have certainly improved and i reckon you will get out of the 130ish sooner than you may think.
Not getting mad at splooshed players, early on is sign of a great attitude in my book.

Thanks albinv! I almost forgot... Anyone else struggling or new should get involved with 145 Club. Worth its weight in gold!

I am pretty sure you will see an incredible learning curve over the next hundreds of games. Can only speak for myself, but I had "steps" in my learning, with moments of stagnation in between, where I needed to realise my mistakes before I could adress them. I would roughly say it went:
100 games, basics
400 games, learning to develop a gameplan, learn strengths and weaknesses of races
1000 games, learn to not only play my own game, but react to the opponent more.
Obviously, the next step I an only describe once I reached it.
All that aside: great attitude displayed in this blog.

Good lines by Gromrilram, though i know the game for some while i always had an on-off relationship with the game until my latest return now.

This game has one of the longest learning curves I've ever experienced. 'taking on all comers' is a sound idea. However, you might want to limit it to those opponents who have a varied team and/or opponent list themselves.
