Piling On confusion
Is it a skill or have the new rules removed it? I have not purchased the box set and don't need the minis and board so I probably won't.
If Piling On is still a skill then why is it being removed from Ranked and Black Box?
If Piling On is no longer a skill, why is it only being removed from Ranked and Black Box?
As someone who runs a league that has always maintained a position of playing straight BB rules, I don't know how to respond to the messages I am getting from confused coaches on this subject...because I am equally confused.

It's an optional skill in the rules. And it now take's a rr to use

Piling On has been removed from the game by the current ruleset, BB 2016.
If you want to follow the official BB rules then you should not allow Piling On in your league.
If you want to allow Piling On in your league it requires a team re-reroll, but this is an optional, not official rule.

Hi,
in the 2016 edition manual, Pilling On is optionnal (meaning you can decide to not allow this skill in your league), and when you allow it, a RR is needed each time you use it.
So if you want to strictly stick to BB rules, you should select one of these 2 options (so no matter what PO will be changed).
Note: for Ranked and Black Box, Christer choosed to remove PO.

How to do it in your league: here there are some people who are explaining that:

I don't run league on fumbbl myself, so I can't tell you much more, I hope it will help you.

Thanks...
I am shocked that GW would do this whole optional thing. Either have the skill or don't. :-D

@KhorneliusPraxx It's probably so that old teams are compatible with the new release. GW trying to avoid turning the existing fanbase away and such.

Piling On has been removed from Blood Bowl. Further, commissioners are, as always, encouraged to have house rules in their league. There is an example for Piling On (TKB928 explained why). You can also have Squig balls.

@gartch I think it's not possible for normal leagues though?
