In order to get themselves ready for ARR XXII, the Harton Couriers played a 3 game preseason. Each of these games were vs. Skaven teams. Unfortunately, the Couriers went 0/0/3, but encountered some small victories along the way.

GAME 1: Les rats fruitiers II vs. Harton Couriers

This was a tough first game for the Couriers. Arbores took a hard hit early on, putting the Couriers to an early disadvantage. Hightides also took a hit near the end of the first half, but they still managed to hold LRFII's offense to a halt.

However, by the start of the second half, the Couriers' numbers were too far diminished to be effective on defense. LRFII slipped two quick TDs by, while five of Harton's players were too beat up to play. With the time ticking, they made a last ditch effort to put one on the board, but the rats managed to cut them off and keep the game to a 2-0 shutout. Doryith Atorium was elected MVP of this game.


GAME 2: WarpZona WildRats vs. Harton Couriers

The Couriers took to the pitch with vengeance on their minds in this game. Adanse Tigertooth, an elf not to be messed with, dealt a hard blow to Gutter Runner Maria Gonzalo early on in the match.

The Couriers managed to corner Gutter Runner Alejandro near the WildRats' endzone, but with a great display of agility, Alejandro dodged away, passed the ball off to a lineman. The ball was then too far away from all of Harton's players, so what ensued was an all out brawl in an attempt to hinder the other team's numbers. The Skaven lineman then scored with minimal time remaining. The Couriers lined up nearly their whole team on the Line of Scrimmage. The ball was kicked off, and soon after a lethal blow was dealt to Wesson from Oddend.

The Harton Couriers were up by 2 players at the start of the second half. Another touchdown was scored by the WildRats. From here, the Couriers would need to work quickly in order to tie up the match. They worked the ball down the field, and managed to put 1 on the board, but didn’t have enough time afterwards for the second TD.

Adanse Tigertooth was awarded the MVP this game for the grisly, first-half kill. With all the experience from this game, Adanse also learned how to become a more proficient dodger.


GAME 3: Rattensport vs. Harton Couriers

This was one tough game for the Couriers. They lost 5-0, and lost 2 players. Hightides did have a good game though, completing a pass, dealing a casualty, and getting voted as MVP. His ferocity this game helped him to learn the block skill.

The Couriers have gotten off to a rough start, but that won’t deter them from rising to the top in ARR XXII!
