In honor of the team's retirement, I took some time to look over a few game reports, reliving some of the glory days of the Merchants of Slang. The team had some great moments, such as defeating some of the Box's best, coming back to win after being down 2-0 at the half, and being my overall most winning team. Indeed, we had the honor of coaching some of the brightest stars around, including the amazing Surf's Up, who was a true terror in his day, his life cut short on a hilarious failed GFI in the endzone.

But after all of that, what I found the most remarkable was that the team played only one of its 73 games without at least one journeyman filling in. That game? Its first. I had a feeling this was the case, but I went and hand-checked every match report to verify it last night. So, to the true, unsung heroes of the Merchants, we salute you!
