Wood Food Poetry Book
Roster [X2] Halfling

It's a warm and pleasant mid-summer noon in the woods. The silence is broken only by the humming of the small wood-creatures that always hum and the rustle in the leaves of the mighty oaks.

What happens now? Someone's disturbing the peaceful silence...:

Lo-di-do,
off I go,
along the road,
playing my flute,
that secures that I'm in a good mood...
Lo-di-do,
lo-di... CRRAAASSSSHHHHHH!

Silence reigns again and the birds continue their small innocent tasks.

<i>Narrator's comment:</i>
What you've just experienced, was one of the young and promising halfling poets from the Wood Food Poetry Village in his first and last terminal encounter with Curt the Critic.
The Wood Food Poetry Village was formerly known as one of the world's most brutal halfling settlements, and the inhabitants were renowned for taking a certain interest in maiming, injuring, destroying and killing in all forms. Led by their great warboss Shake Spear and his second-in-command Show Arrow they caused terror in the adjacent regions, all races fled before them, and soon only a few daring treemen and their families remained. One day Show Arrow was killed by Curt the Critic during a patrol, and suddenly Shake Spear found himself in great doubt.
Could there be more important things in life than killing and molesting? Could the art of the pen be mightier than the art of the spear? Should he now follow his dreams from when he was a child, and do some romantic poetry? Yes!

From his skull-clad throne he proclaimed:
"Brethren!
We love the wood!
We love food!
And I want to make a poetry book!"

And from that glorious moment the Wood Food Poetry Village was born. The halflings now lived in peace, and put a great effort in writing good poetry with rhymes, and structure and... stuff....
Unfortunately the treemen in the area didn't like the results of the halflings' writing efforts and as shown above this led to some serious encounters in the wilderness. The most feared treemen were Simon the Censor and Curt the Critic who had a very merciless attitude towards bad poetry, and especially bad poetry coming from a halfling's mouth.
Shake Spear quickly discovered, that the money needed to publish the work of his dreams "The Wood Food Poetry Book" exceeded his savings, and he and some of the other halflings from the village decided to travel the world and earn the money through hard work. What was more obvious than forming a bloodbowl team? They knew how to be cruel and they only needed a few games to earn the neccessary amount of gold. After some discussion Simon the Censor and Curt the Critic accepted to join the team - but only when promised the right to throw any halfling that uttered foul poetry.

The Wood Food Poetry Book Team was born, and the rest is history...
