The king is dead! Long live the King!

After the success of last year's tournament run by the questionable ethics of the Goblin Cheater nation, The Cheater Invitational is no more, and has risen to the top of the Stunty world. Now known as the Stunty Cup, the tournament has become the pinnacle of success for Stunty teams across the lands.

Will you be the lucky one to hoist this year's trophy?

The Stunty Cup has become the new standard for dominance in the Stunty division. Applications are now being accepted for the tournament, which will start on September 25th.

The tournament is a modified double-elimination knockout tournament. All teams will be entered into the winner's bracket, and after the first round, all losers will be moved to the loser's bracket. At this point, any further losers will eliminate your team from the tournament.

This format will guarantee all participants at least two matches, with a prize awarded for the winner of each bracket.

The winner's bracket will receive a bounty of 100K gold and +3 Fan Factor. In addition, they will receive the coveted Winner's Crown. The crown will imbue one random player with two random mutations.

The loser's bracket will receive a bounty of 50K gold and +3 Fan Factor. In addition, they will receive the not-so coveted Loser's Crown. The crown will imbue one random player with one random mutation, and one negative trait.

As previously stated, applications are open, and you can apply for the tournament on the Stunty Cup group page. The tournament will be drawn on September 25th, and begin immediately afterwards.

Good luck to all in your pursuit of the cup!

+1 on the \o/

However...

The group info page has two references to the Cheater Invitational and one to the FUMBBL Cup. Is this another one of those times where you tell me to have patience, you were just in the middle of fixing it?

lol...no, it's one of those times that I did a lot of cut and paste, because the old page was broken from when Christer made the conversion from html to BBcode, so I had to scrub the old code for the new...doesn't surprise me that I missed a few references Wink

PS...I do appreciate that people read the group pages, though Smile

Snotlings or Pygmies. Which under-represented team do I bring?

I'm bringing Pygmies, if that makes your choice any easier.

Got two teams close in TV for the top. Who do y'all think I should bring, Evil Nurgle clowns, or nomadic gnoblars?

Well I guess that means I'll bring Snotlings so that I know for sure we'll have at least 1 Pygmy and 1 Snotling teams.

The Chief Sommelier and his pals just filled the application form and are currently looking for 15 rooms in a cheap hostel nearby the stadium.
