Strategy Guide; Team Rerolls
Just a quick tip to new (and some older) coaches.

At the beginning of each turn, pause. Answer the following question: under what circumstances will I use a team RR this turn?

I have noticed a lot of coaches use RRs out of reflex - or fail to use a RR when they have one to burn. Taking the time to think about how available your RR is at the beginning of a turn can go a long way to helping your overall game.

Two quick examples:
1. You roll double skulls on a block...most people just instinctively RR the block. However, if it is non-critical block and near end of your turn - often it is better to save the RR for a later turn.

2. You are dodging some journeymen away at the end of a turn and one of them fails the dodge. Most people (and what I did recently) is just automatically click "no". However, if it is turn 6 and you have 3 RRs...you have a RR to burn, so even though it is a journeymen - use the RR.

The other comment from me is: "Buy some! - Don't be a min/maxer!"

I think the hardest RR to decide is when you have that WD lined up and you roll a push. Do you RR for the pomb? T1, T2?

For me it is about the question: "what are the implications of failure here". ie: is the ball left open to a blitz? am i losing the opportunity to do an important thing? so it is entirely case by case contingent.

Playing a crap starting team like Nurgz really hammers this home.

As someone who sometimes jumps to that RR fast, lately been being alot better about it. +1 pythrr. You have to think, is it a game changing fail. I think about it alot when i get a failed pick up. Sometimes, if you aren't in danger of losing it, a failed pickup is ok.

basic advice but also good advice. I usually pick the most important action from my turn before I play the turn and then decide where a rr is worth using. playing with the important action in mind helps me plan the whole turn and decide weather to abort the important action or to use the rr.

I played 1 RR Lizardmen for a while to practice this until I got it. (not purely for that, yadda yadda minmaxing scum etc etc), but when you only have one reroll to use, it really makes you think what a critical situation is before using it, and how likely you are to be able to recover.

Rerolls are a vampire coach's best friend.

I did this today. I failed a rather unimportant roll on turn 7 and clicked the NO button... and I still had 2 rerolls left. Good reminder.
