Ok ok. Guys. Ok. I'm taking bets on how many of my players make it out of the next game alive. Also up for contention is the prize for most correct guesstimate on how many players I have killed/maimed.
Pact v Chaos Dwarf, 1290 - 2010 respectively. If the large hardon colliders don't manage to finish me off this season, I might just be able to avoid relegation towards the end of the season.
But lets not get ahead of ourselves. Last game against the Orks of Intoxicated Mayhem resulted in a 11 or 12-turn struggle to keep the Orks out (largely sucessful), before the injuries finally tipped the scales over and my guys went down in a heap. All-in-all it wasn't a bad game, but sometimes (like when you stall a drive and set up for a sack, only to have the wizard fizzle on a 1, then go to plan B, get into the cage ANYWAY and hit the ball in time to see 2x push come up), the game just does not give you what you want.
I guess that this is what separates good teams and good players from the average, and while I haven't watched the replay to see if there is any way in which I could have played better, I probably should. At the time I was grinding my teeth in frustration because the game felt like an exercise in running into a rubberised concrete wall over and over again, but with a cooler head I think I might learn something.
Even if it's just patience.

Firsts for everybody I think. That was the first time I've conceded a game ever. Good game despite it though. I figured that if his Centaur stayed KO'd and my Ogre hadn't been cas'ed off the pitch, I would have stayed and fought for a draw, but alas, it was not to be.
