ST7 Troll: Worth it?
Revolucion Permanente lost its last game against Nestoroide´s Burrikin Rats by 4-1. Still, I am glad I managed to score at least 1 TD via TTM and seriously injury two skavens.

Here comes my question to you, bloodthisrty memebers of the fumbbl gang: The team´s Troll Star Lumpenproletariat got a ST increase on his first skill roll a few games back (along with an ageing nig) and, yesterday, after maiming two skaven linemen, rolled a 12 on his second skill roll

I know the obvious choice would be to get him Block, but I am tempted of getting +ST just for the fun of fielding a ST7 Troll. Besides, It will be easier to roll a double in the future than to roll 12 again, right?

I am also not sure what I should do about the fact that he is niggled so soon in his career...

What are your thoughts?

It is a league team so no problem taking the fun choice. :)

St7 would be fun, but statistically a 2D with block will cause less turnovers then a 3d without. And you can usually manage one assist for a 3d regardless :)With 7 skills total he has 5 more chances to roll doubles... somewhere around a 60% chance if he survives to legend. So it's really your call, but right now block is definitely a better choice while long run Str7 might be better. Though you could definitely argue that a second doubles skill on a troll could be more useful than Str7.

If you don't take the ST Nuffle will not grant you any more for a loooong time.

Take the +str, its too cool to pass up.

Sir, if you do not take this Strength your Troll will die Immediately. Do you really want Troll blood on your hands? 'Cause I hear they regenerate.

ST 7 trolls for presidents!

Also, isn't it cool to have a Troll that can SINGELHANDEDLY pound a tree into the ground?

+ ST FTW!!! :D

retire the niggler
Posted by Zombie69 on 2010-07-27 14:27:41
Of course it's worth it, and is 10 times better than block. Now stop bragging.

Take the +ST and hope the teams are converted to FFB so the niggle becomes negligible. How could you ever pass up on ST7?
Posted by SeraphimRed on 2010-07-27 17:11:25
I want a ST7 league player. :(

love the logo!

(remember that Nuffle punishes all who does not pick +ST)

+ST +ST, DO IT! I know you want to :)
Posted by Cavetroll on 2010-07-27 20:09:22
You should retire him cause he's going to miss 1 game in 6 and having him increases your TR which could give handicaps to your opponent. But take the +ST before retiring him so you can keep bragging.
Posted by Timlagor on 2010-07-28 01:07:47
The obvious answer is certainly to retire him.
I would take the ST -if you were going to take Block then the time to take it was on the first one.

Take st7, then retire him, as soon as you can afford a new troll and have no other pressing costs. But if you decide to keep him, block would be a better more pragmatic choice, although it will almost certainly jinx him (and likely you as well).

I finally went for +ST
