Find your own style
Every once in a while when a newbie turns out to be an excessive fouler, you're going to hear people label him as Wuhan wannabe. Unfortunately there aren't so many distinctive traits in Bloodbowl that you could easily put your own spin on it. Nevertheless, I hope that one day somebody gets labeled as Optihut wannabe for excessive crowd-pushing ;)

While crowd-pushing pretty much is my thing (EDIT: In the sense that I enjoy it, not that I hold a monopoly on it), I've recently realised that I had a lot of teams that I never really played with, because they simply aren't fun to me.

Nowadays I pretty much won't play anything with AV7 or less, as I do get rather attached to my players. Don't get me wrong, it wasn't a problem when my +ST +MA block MB dauntless witch elf died, but these should be rare circumstances and not the norm. If you can't play a game without losing a player then that throws long term planning right out of the window. So my woodelves and my pro elves had to go into retirement, despite the winning record on the woodies.

A viable low AV team are halflings, but that's just because fumbbl groups by TS and decently developed fling teams play skill-less rookie teams and steal their rerolls. On top of that, a lot of coaches don't seem to grasp that when you only have 1 blitz per turn and no skills or rerolls, you better make it a 3 dice blitz.
So yeah, flings are fun to play, but ultimately picking on weak TR 100 teams gets old real fast, too.

Just going by the armour values, the only teams I could theoretically enjoy playing are: Chaos, Chaos Dwarf, Dark Elf, Dwarf, High Elf, Human, Khemri (theoretically AV7, but the mummies are the key players), Lizardmen (the sauri are the team, not the skinks), Necromantic, Rotter,Ogre, Orc, Undead.

However, Dwarves and Ogres require too much patience. Chaos and Rotters are one trick ponies and Khemri are just cheesy, so I'm down to 8 possible races that I enjoy playing.

I retired a lot of teams that I didn't really want to play anyway and have a nice little list of 5 ranked teams that I can put on the gamefinder. Even though I have a favourite, I like to play any of those teams.

So to recap - find your own style and have fun. In my case that means no more AV7- teams and lots of crowd-pushing. It's quite amazing that a witch elf has a 75% chance to dodge into the typical screened setup on the sidelines, enabling you to crowd a player that is supposedly protected by tackle zones :)
