Blackbox Agility Monsters?
So, I've been recently asked - and not for the first time - whether there will be an Agility Monsters team in the Blackbox. I'm not against it, in fact, I'd love it.
There are two reasons I haven't started such a team yet. With one of them you might be able to help me.
1) Workload. I'm not able to keep up with all the tables, news and other stuff I'd love to do for the original Monsters already. There's no way I can do that for another team. They'd get a basic bio of course and some coverage in the Agility Monsters Newsflash (just like the Monsters' infBOWL spin-off, the Graceful Ballers). If I and everyone else can accept that (to some degree at least), this obstacle should be removable.
2) (And this is where you can help.) Team name and fluff.
I'd love to use the same player names. One option would mean the Box team plays in some kind of "alternate reality". So the team would basically be a copy of the original Monsters. The team name should reflect this. However, the problems mentioned under 1) would increase: The team could not "really" be related to the original team and would therefor need some extra effort, I'd say. Other options: The Box Monsters could be a reenactment group, with dwarves taken the names of the original Monsters. Or they could be the team's second-string side. Or they could be some kind of "Dark Agility Monsters", just as a reference to the "evil" Box.
What do you guys think? Fluff explanations and team name suggestions welcome - fire away!

Thanks, but I'd want to play the Box Monsters in exactly the same way like I play the original Monsters now. So basic skill paths would be Guard-Fend-Pro-Pass Block etc. for Blocker, at least one Slayer would become a sacker, on runner a thrower, one a carrier etc.
I'm pretty determined on that part. It's more the fluffy background I haven't settled on yet. :-)

Here's an odd idea. Since you tried to make an 'elfy' team out of dwarves with the Agility Monsters, why not try and make a really bashy team out of elves (and not dark elves, 'cause that's too easy)? As for a name, Strength Fiends?

4th option: A completely new team inspired by the Monsters, which they are. You can add a little recklessness to the mix due to box image, but that is it really.
If you do that, then you have a genuine fluff, plus you don't need to figure out all the news, as you will carry the monsters, and the box team will reflect on each news with amusement.

You will never get claw/mb but have some cool mutations for the blockers
Can do whatever you want with the bulls and hobgoblins but allow them DP because it's the Box and they are Dark :P
And as the Deathroller is your only MB, you can have a Mino ;)

nope - no alternate reality. DC and Marvel comics are terrifying and you will need to hire someone to keep track of the various timelines and stuff. You don't really want a team of rainbow hulks, believe me.

While other teams prepare for their next match practicing neck breakers and perfecting head stompers, the Angels takes a different approach to the Blackbowl circuit entirely. Not unlike their bearded brethren in the ranked division, the Angels are frequently seen rehearsing fluid formations and honing evasive maneuvers. While this doesn't propel them to the highest echelons of the Box, for them winning is something only worth doing graciously.

Why not called them say the Universal Agility Monsters. All previously fallen and retired Agility Monsters have actually been treated with Dwarven nanobot technology fixing up all their previous ailments but also resetting their memories and skills and put in a new team. Just like in Universal Soldier.
