DLE - Superbowl evening!
Hear hear!
Short and tall, big and small.
Tonight at 22.00 servertime the great league DLE will see the end of season 3 with the superbowl game played.
This season we have Flashfurt Universe vs Norden Legion.
Flashfurt Univers:
Before the season Universe was hailed as one of the top contenders for the superbowl. And here they are. Coach Wreckage is known by many fumbblers as a solid and very good coach. He lived up to this by beating bghandras in the KFC final, for his 2nd run at SuperBowl. Wreckage also won the SuperBowl in season 1, so he knows the pressure of a game like this.
Norden Legion:
In the middel of season 2 coach Badpublicity took over the Legion franchise, and he made a serious rebuild of the team by selling most of the stars, and drafted/traded to a very agile team. He definately made his mark on the franchise in the draft before season 3. It did him good, and here he is. The SuperBowl. Badp is an up and coming coach, and he is also knocking on the door for the danish EuroBowl team on tabletop. Furtermore he beat the_demon in the SHC final, also a great coach, and winner of DLE SuperBowl season 2.
All in all we have a big game between to very different styles of play, and to different angles to the game from the coaches. If they both stay in DLE, we could very well see them compete for The SuperBowl again in the future.
Last season we had a record of 22 Specs for our SuperBowl. We hope to beat that number this season. Come join us for this great party of a game, between two very competent coaches.
To spice things up, fate has it that the 2 SuperBowl coaches made a bet before the season.
The conditions was this:
-If Badp failed playoffs and Wreckage failed to win the title, they should both pay 50%. Basically making this a fair assumption.
-If Badp made playoffs and Wreckage failed to win the title, I should pay 100%.
-But if Wreckage won Badp would pay 100%. This was the only scenario in which Wreckage could actually win out on the bet.
So now, the looser will pay a prize to the winner!

BadP can also become the first coach to beat two former superbowl winning franchises in the post season.... obviously noone could do that before season 3, but nevertheless that would be a great achievement and the cherry on top of winning DLE SuperBowl III.

There has been a superbowl buzz all day long in Norden! People have been cheering and dancing in the streets..

Cheer cheer cheer thank god we are not a suckaneer, they drink piss and not beer. We will make Universe dissapear.

All support from Wolfenburg is firmly behind the legion. They are a great team, with a great concept and a somewhat above average coach. Furthermore, they represent the SHC, the single greatest conference since Sigmar first said gods also need conferences.

this is going to be fun! both teams had really convincing conference finals, wreck won with one of the best one turn touchdowns ive ever seen, badp neglected the 2-1 grind and his high pressure game against a stronger team was quite stunning. lets go!

And the superbowl was won 2-1 by Flashfurt Universe! Congratulations.
