Having gone 8 matches without a victory, since winning game 250 the Dirty Cranberries were feeling a little shaken by their performances. Or more accurately, my godawful play. Usually wary of giving up our main tactical advantage of regen by playing another team full of the skill, we nevertheless took a match against La Banda Putrida. A team of two werewolves, two wights and eleven zombies.

Things started well, with blocks and boots doing a decent job for us and taking one wolf out early. The remaining wolf tried to break through but tripped on a GFI and Howie Makepeace snaffled the ball and was escorted in for his 226th TD.

The second half saw us dominate again and score reasonably quickly, but Matthew Raskin VII was killed by an unskilled wight chancing his arm with an unassisted block, and regen failed! Only 6SPP from becoming a legend it was a major blow to the team, a full 160k of player obliterated in one hit!

Back on the upside, Howie took his tally to 227 TD and his SPP past 900. He also survived a scare after bravely defending against an opponent score after downing a wolf and collecting the ball. Sitting unprotected he was surrounded and hit by a nasty wolf who killed him! Thankfully regen saved his rotten ass for the third time, and the Cranberries went home with a win and their legend ball carrier intact.
