League of Leaving Your Comfort Zone
I'm playing in the NWL right now, just won Season 30 (Thank you, thank you) and that's gotten me thinking about running a league. Specifically a league that forces coaches out of their comfort zones.

The issue I'm seeing is this: There are teams that are just better for League play. Dwarfs, Chaos Dwarfs, Lizardmen, and teams you almost never see. My thought is that you have an 8 game season. Then, the coaches pair off by ranking:

1 - 8
2 - 7
3 - 6
4 - 5

The lower ranked coach picks the upper ranked coaches team for the next season. The lower ranked coach keeps their team.

This way the better coaches are forced to play a team they might not otherwise play, and the lower ranked coaches get a chance to build their teams.

Anyone interested? Thoughts? Suggestions? Think I'm mad?

Are all races included? Like why wouldn't teams 5-8 not pick teams like gobbos, flings, underworld etc for the 1-4?

I really like the idea! Can't commit to a(nother) league, but if I had the time and motivation, I'd join. :-)

You wouldn't want to toss Flings to all the top coaches, if that happens and they end up on the bottom, you'll end up playing Flings too. It would be a race to the bottom...

Well, I presumed that there could only be one active team of each race during a season.
