#11 López Rekarte – Broken Ribs (MNG)
#11 López Rekarte – Smashed Collar Bone (-ST)
Real Sociedead V Bristol Reavers was the tough game that we we Glorious Real did not expect!

Turn one saw a steady start from the undead, and a beautifully placed foul saw one of Reavers’ Blitzers to the Casualty box - happy were we.

But soon after that it all could have gone horribly wrong when a Block Orc Blocker, with the aid of his friends (the coward) hit Asier Riesgo, star Mummy, whilst he wasn't looking and killed him!!! Thankfully, we quickly wrapped him back up before too much dust could seep away.

With one prop out of the drive, all second chances expelled by both teams, it suddenly became sloppy. Real made a dent in the defence and ran Iosu Esnaolaatxega through the line, fearing that the Orcs may get the better of them in a blocking game now.

Not able to out distance the Orcs, Iosu simply had to brace himself from the blitz… with the aid of his dodgyness, he managed to ride the blow, and from there it was a simple score to make when assisted for the blitz to the end zone - Yay!

That early TD... cos we were keen to please the fans I hasten to add as we're not like "some" teams, left almost a whole quarter of the game remaining for the Reavers to regroup and make their own charge; but with Asier back in the game it wouldn’t be so easy to break the Real defensive line.

The Orcs slowly trogged forward, but a foolish mistake in the Throwers defence left a gap for a guard assisted Block by team captain, Gerardo García, who quickly made short work of the ball carrier and scooped it up into his own bony hands. Following that, and keen to assert the Mummy authority back into the game, rising star Mikel González smacked The Dirty Duke down to the ground and sent him to the Cas box – rar! "Know your place BlOrc!"

The first half was over... a triumphant success!

The Orcs came back on the field to meet the same daunting defence, and things were made worse from a blitz before the kick off. Real wasted no time to charge a “close to halfway line” kick and surrounded the ball, albeit unable to put any Orcs to ground and leaving Orcs menacing besides them. The Orcs swamped the ball like rats and quickly removed the Real players before scooping it up to safety, again, ganging up on them like cowards!

The Orcs slowly began to advance, using every dirty tactic in the book to dwindle the Real numbers, in particular making short work of the Ghouls who seemed to have forgot that they were supposed to be the flash onec on the team.

With all but one Ghoul off the field it was easy for the Orcs to make a break and watch as our slow moving zombies failed to do much and the Mummies and Wight were easily pinned down. Then, although able to score the Orcs showed the crowd the cowards that they are and just how to stall the game… all Chelsea like… and get the draw. Boo! Hiss!

GG pythrr.
Mad a hash of the my TD in all honesty so it could have easily gone bad. Draw was a good result in the end, I’m just glad you stalled since I could only field six players, with 1 sole Ghoul, for my last turn. :)

Mighty battle, which began with the DEATH of Asier Riesgo (but he got better).

The game swung one way then the other, with the stinking spanish corpses taking the lead midway through the first half.

The valiant noble orcs received in T5 and but were thwarted by the evil machinations of the living dead.

The second half began with more necro-trickery, with the dead tunneling under the ground like pesky undead things to steal a blitz. Thankfully, the virtuous and rather dashing orcs managed to retrieve the possession and work the ball down the flank. Realising that they were short on numbers (the mighty Duke having limped off with a "sore 'ed"), they set up a stalling screen in the corner of the pitch and held out for a hard-fought 1-1 draw.

All hail the noble green ones!

And despite the luck-o-meter, we didn't rely upon luck.

Reporter - "Oh yes you did"

Coach - "Ok, well spotted. So we did."

----

Yarr, gg also. Without the Duke we decided that a draw was the safest option, as your lazy ghouls would have all come back if we had tried to score quickly, I'm sure of it!
