“Premiership opener death-a-palooza!


The Reavers began their Season Two campaign against the first of the unholy undead contingent: the Vampires of Timisoara!

The game began with the Vampire receiving in the rain, and they quickly came under pressure from the massive orkish line. In turn 3 was the first crushing game-turning blow struck, when Reaver's Blocker John Scales smashed the vampire blodger Count Manstein to the ground, killing him once and for all (failed regen) - a second career slaying for "big" John....

More kos and Cas followed, as thralls left the field - one taken down (BH) by his overly-hungry master...

The orcs recovered and ran the ball in safely to make it 1-0 at the half, Ryan Green scoring his 4th TD in 3 games.

The second half began with only 2 vampires and 7 thralls to face the might of the Reavers, who moved rapidly down the pitch. The Vampires countered, targetting the under-employed orkish DP Jamie Shore, who was knocked over by Count Tilly. "Target me, will you, you pasty-looking bully" screamed Jamie as he hit the dirt.... The next turn, the Count was surrounded and sent prone by the orkish blizters, and Jamie scrambled to his feet to seek his revenge! TEH BOOT! Kill, another failed regen. The crowd went silent.... and then errupted in cheers! A first Kill for the latest in the line of feared orkish foulers...

Meanwhile, the ball had been recovered one more by Ryan Green, putting his high AG to good use on the rain-soaked pitch. After a somewhat inexplicable delay, he ran the ball home to make it 2-0 at the, ahem, death....
