“Fantastic game vs. a fantastic opponent.

The flings playing up 800+TV decide to make it an occasion to remember, hire one of the best halfing chefs of all time. In turn this attracts the interest of Morg, whose appetite for destruction on a pitch is easily matched by his desire for gourmet banquets off the pitch.

Somehow the bakers also coax Deeproot onto the pitch although we are less sure how this was accomplished.

With the Bakers receiving the first half is dominated by the flings, despite a perfect defence by the ogres and a turn 2 take root, they tie up the ogres and make a controlled drive down field, and score easily in turn 5.

With the ogres receiving and 4 turns on the clock, c9805222 was confident of getting an equaliser, unfortunately a blitz by the flings, then consecutive boneheads on the ogre Ogre before he dropped the pickup, allowed the Bakers to run in an easy almost unopposed touchdown to take it to 2-0 in turn 6.

However there were important happens on the LOS, Woodbeard was KO'd (he'd later take root in the KO box and not reappear at all in the game)

With the next kickoff the ogres took the game by the scruff of the neck, Treecharger was fouled and badly hurt. Ogre had the ball just behind the LOS, Deeproot went down, was fouled and badly hurt even though Psycho was banned for the foul, suddenly the bakers only had 1 big guy on the pitch for the 2nd half vs. all 6 of the ogres.

In the first turn, Delboy was launched literally into the Flings endzone, Ogre bonehead and failed to secure the ball (again)... then in 2 ogre woke up raced to the ball, picked it up and threw a glorious long pass to Trickery in the middle of the pitch, who raced forwards and handed off to Savage. Savage raced towards the td line and safety, however replacement Sam was on hand to put him in a diving tackle cover. Until Thriller took out replacement Sam for the rest of the game. Savage got his TD and the game restarted 2-1 turn 3/3.

A high kick gave the ball to the flings but they were only able to field 5 flings (and Morg oh yeah him). things were looking grim for our plucky Bakers and they were. The ogres continued to dominate, Nick Star dodged through the line but forgot grab negates sidestep and was thrust straight into the crowd. the ball came back in from the crowd and was secured by Trickery who survived Hard to hit Tom's blitz. This let Eastwood grab him up, throw him forwards and he ran in the 2nd td of the half in turn 6.

Suddenly its 2-2 with time on the clock...

The ogres still have the player advantage, but they cannot secure the loose ball. The Bakers are still getting hit, but manage to make off with the ball to secure the draw.
