Highest ranked Dwarf team on Fumbbl prior to the ranking reset

I keep giving my Longbeards touch-downs so they can get Guard. Then they act like total bastards and get a strength increase. So I proceed to score with them some more, so they can have +ST <i>and</i> Guard. Of the three times I've gone through that process, they have either rolled +ST <i>again</i> or they rolled a double. So none of my +ST dwarfs have Guard yet. <i>Grrrrr.</i>

A fourth dwarf just got a strength increase as his first skill. Here we go again...

Update: One +ST Dwarf (<a href="http://fumbbl.com/FUMBBL.php?page=player&player_id=197410">Bushy Beard</a>) got Guard! Three cheers! Hip, hip, HUZZAH!

Update #2: Nuffle made me pay for this transgression and took away <a href="http://fumbbl.com/FUMBBL.php?page=player&op=view&player_id=183563">Moustache Man</a>, the famous strongest longbeard of all time, in the first turn of the very next match.

Update #3: After 29 matches <a href="http://fumbbl.com/FUMBBL.php?page=player&player_id=183559">Food Collector</a> became the first Longbeard on the team to achieve the vaunted Guard/Mighty Blow combination. Nuffle promptly congratulated me on this feat by having him hit to miss next game in the second turn of his very next match. Highly enjoyable. Your wife is a big hippo.

Update #4: The Waddling Warriors have now played 34 matches. They have just rolled the sixth strength increase in their glorious carreer. <a href="http://fumbbl.com/FUMBBL.php?page=player&player_id=183561">Mister Mister</a> has achieved the impossible and has managed to bench-press the same weight that <a href="http://fumbbl.com/FUMBBL.php?page=player&op=view&player_id=183563">Moustache Man</a> used to be able to. Can any other dwarf team claim to have had two 5 ST longbeards on the same team? (Though unfortunately not at the same time, alas)

Update #5: Match #36. Finally managed to beat one of Bendrig's agility teams with the Warriors. It has taken me four tries, but it has fially happened - though it was too close for comfort. Suicidal tendencies and single die blitzes on the ball-carrier that are always POWs tend to make it hard on dwarfs...

Update #6: Match #39: It is a sad day for the Warriors. In the last block of the last turn of a hard-fought match against Ireland Orc, <a href="http://fumbbl.com/FUMBBL.php?page=player&op=view&player_id=197146">Ballhogger</a> sustained a harsh injury and decided to end his Bloodbowl carreer. His friend and partner <a href"http://fumbbl.com/FUMBBL.php?page=player&op=view&player_id=183548">Short but Fast</a> was deeply saddened by this and decided to join his friend, but not before establishing a new sprint record for the Warriors - as he aged to a niggling injury he rolled his second +MA.

Update #7: Match #40: <a href="http://fumbbl.com/FUMBBL.php?page=player&player_id=183559">Food Collector</a> strikes again to assert himself once more as the steadiest if not the strongest Longbeard on the team. He is the first Longbeard after <a href="http://fumbbl.com/FUMBBL.php?page=player&player_id=183561">Mister Mister</a> to get a third skill, but is arguably more useful than him, with three team skills rather than great personal strength. Guard, Mighty Blow and Pass Block, the objective of all the Warriors' Longbeards.

Update #8: Match #41: Some good has come from the retirement of <a href="http://fumbbl.com/FUMBBL.php?page=player&op=view&player_id=197146">Ballhogger</a> and <a href"http://fumbbl.com/FUMBBL.php?page=player&op=view&player_id=183548">Short but Fast</a>, as one of their replacements, namely <a href="http://fumbbl.com/FUMBBL.php?page=player&player_id=1192899">Ballhanger</a> now has the muscles to match anyone but <a href="http://fumbbl.com/FUMBBL.php?page=player&player_id=183561">Mister Mister</a>. Another dwarf who has no qualms with rampant steroid use.

Update #9: Match #44: Played in an IQT for the Ulthuan Invitational. Bad plan. <a href="http://fumbbl.com/FUMBBL.php?page=player&op=view&player_id=183554">The Harder They Fall</a> was slain against some ogres, while <a href="http://fumbbl.com/FUMBBL.php?page=player&op=view&player_id=462142">Signore Mustachio</a> was brutally injured at the collar bone leaving him permanently weaker and unable to lift heavy objects. In the match after that, against a very evil Chaos team, <a href="http://fumbbl.com/FUMBBL.php?page=player&op=view&player_id=197409">Twirly Moustache</a> was killed as well (note how he had 74 SPPs, just like The Harder They Fall - also note how previously a 76 SPP Runner died, and another Runner niggled to aging at 76 SPPs - seems like this is the invisible ceiling for the Warriors). During the match, both of the new Troll Slayers suffered broken bones which never truly healed, upon which they decided to stop playing Bloodbowl. A grievous wound, as the Warriors are now missing both Troll Slayers and a Blitzer and can as yet afford to hire neither.

Update #10: Match #47: <a href="http://fumbbl.com/FUMBBL.php?page=player&player_id=197410">Bushy Beard</a> has now also become tied for the Strongest Longbeard of All Time contest. Unfortunately he picked up a lasting back injury while working on his bench-pressing. He may not be there for every match, now. Still... I don't think I'll fire him.

Update #11: Match #56: After a failed attempt at qualifying for Fumbbl Cup IV, the Waddling Warriors decided to call it a day. They have now stepped out of Ranked and decided to have a shot at some of the prestigious trophies awarded in the <a href="http://fumbbl.com/FUMBBL.php?page=group&op=view&group=1347">Orca-Cola Cup Series</a>.

Current Status: A +ST Runner, a +ST Blitzer, two active +2 ST Longbeards, one with Guard (niggled) and one with Stand Firm and Guard, and one dead +2 ST Longbeard.
