I need a DP for my Khemri team..
..and one of these days I'll get it.

Ok, this is a blog entry with "DP" on the title so I'm assuming some people is going to read this with a military knife clenched between the teeth.

No reason really... I'm just ranting about a funny thing I realized taking a look at my Khemri team.

I was trying to develop that team in a way different from the usual bash-bash-bash-foul-bash-score-when-there-are-no- more-enemies outtake. And for two reasons

- since that was my first team and is somewhat my "signature" team I wanted it to get to the field with a different outtake

- I am not that good at fouling. Yes, I can do it (I've created an halfling team to help me develop in that field, too) but usually I don't do it much. I'm not against fouling, only I tend to use all my players in the overall strategy so it is pretty rare that I end up a move with a downed enemy nicely caged up (and I don't like to attempt for-the-sake-of-it fouls with only +1 bonus).

Notice that the reasons DON'T include the alleged boringness of the bash-foul khemri tactic. I could not care less.

Anyway... I developed my khemri to try and score during the play and not after they have smashed the enemy to pieces. That means giving sure hands as first skill to all the skellies. This tactic paid off very much when I was reduced to two mummies active after a very infortunate couple of games. Skellies managed to hold up the subsequent matches and the team soon went back into rattling good form.

Heck, I think I have the one of the few khemrian teams that sometimes skaven agree to play.

Problem is: now I think it is time to get that DP. High-rating teams need at least one for tactical reasons. And I can't seem to get one because I keep rolling doubles on the skellies.

Not that I am complaining.. two guard skeletons are priceless in my opinion. Only I find the thing funny.

I have a skellie about to get his first skill. But I probably will have to give him sure hands before DP if I am to mantain true to the team concept. On the other hand I could start with the DP just on him...

What will I do? We will see...

The quest for the khemrian DP continues.

^^
