Just a quick update here on 2 issues -
Pilling On
As per the Official Rules Pilling On is going to return in its new status of no longer being optional.
The rule now states that Pilling On requires a Team Re-roll to use, apart from that it works in the same way as it did in the previous rules set - CRP.
I will not add this in straight away however as the SLUMBBL CUP is currently about half way through. But once finished Pilling On will return.
Why is this now changing? - This change happened in the Head Coaches Handbook, which was released earlier this week. The new A5 rule book contains rewording of rules etc.. for clarification. Among clarifying things in hard print like the inducement phase (which fumbbl has correct, but was originally worded incorrectly in the official rules), and moving Special Play cards to the optional rules section. It also clarifies that Pilling On is a "core skill". It is no longer highlighted as optional. I also checked with one of the official rules writters to make sure of the intent, and they stated that and I quote - "the option should always have been that the updated version of PO is core". So it is here to stay.
Skink Teams
Also released this week was the new Lizardmen team, with a new positional, the Chameleon Skink.
In short - the Chameleon in the Skink team has changed its Skills and Stats in line with the official version now found in Lizardmen teams.
Your team will look wrong on the Fummbl site, but in game they will have the correct stats, so don't worry. If you do want this fixed though please PM me and I will correct it using the Magic Fix button, that admins have access to which changes the teams base stats in line with the rule sets roster.
The longer version -
The Chameleon Skink was a positional we already had in Secret League, they appeared in the Skink team. The new official version is the same TV cost as the one I designed, and both had Shadowing, however there were some differences, SL's was titchy and had wrestle 1 extra Ma and 1 less Av. The official Chameleon in the skink has Pass Block instead. Though this version is not as good as the SL version its not much of a disruption, as the Chameleon skink in SL was already a luxury player, and this hasn't changed. Sorry if you have a Skink team and this is not to your taste, but I am sure you can appreciate that sticking to the official rules is important for a multitude of reasons.
Here are the new Icon and player art, fitting it's St2 size and look -
