Real Life /Cheer /Boo
At Waterbowl this weekend ex-NAF president Lycos will play his 1000th NAF tabletop game, and we will hope to bring it to you live-streamed on YouTube. The functionality of /cheer, /boo and /crickets won't be there, but you will be able to chat with other spectators and get a taste of the tabletop tournament vibe.

Could someone watching do the /cheer /boo /crickets as we type them? :D

Jimjimany was hanging round last time, and might be persuadable.

Who's the opponent?

And where's the calendar file for that? :)))

It's a random matchup from the 45 attendees. Could be an England team-mate from Purplegoo, Podfrey, Joemanji, Pippy a previous NAF champion such as Sizzler or Mubo, one of the many Danes making the trip over or a Scot crossing the border. Don't think there are any complete tournament virgins coming, though could be wrong - there would be a nice symmetry for it to be someone's 1st game!

Calendar file?

There is one turnament virgin showing up. The Dane called Fischer. It's his first turney. I talked him into it! ;)

Well done! I feel a fixed draw coming on...

Does everyone feel comfortable being streamed across You Yube playing Blood Bowl? If it was to be me, I think I'd be alright so long as my real name were not used (I don't want the work / non nerd friend conversation in the event a Google strikes lucky), but there could be hesitance from some. We are, generally, insular nerds. And then there is the Warmachine case to consider, which raised my eyebrows in light of this sort if thing becoming more common in BB at the important tournaments.

I am absolutely sure in this case it'll be fine, it'll be a bit of fun and there are no hard feelings if someone says no. But I'm honestly not sure how I feel about it becoming more commonplace in the general case.

The war machine case? Was someone hit by a ballista?
Posted by Purplegoo on 2015-02-20 09:01:57
(In short) There was a recent case of a world championship game being filmed and either an honest mistake or cheating occurred, in full view of those watching. That well known player was then run out of the game on video 'evidence'.

It's an extreme example, but I think at least applicable to the general Blood Bowl case.

Ah. Well there is a cloud to every silver lining.
