Blood Bowl 7s is back!
BB7s is back and fully compliant with BB2020 rules!
I am pleased to announce that the BB7s group is fully back in action with the ruleset transitioned to BB20 rules, rosters and star players updated, and coaches can create new teams and play open matchmaking games right now!
Full details can be found on the group page, but quick rundown of the rules
- • Full BB2020 rules and skill progression are used
- • Teams are created with a 600k budget, and contain 7-11 players
- • Big guys are allowed, but teams can field no more than four "positionals" (players with less than 0-11+ availability)
- • We still use the full 11s pitch as custom pitches not yet available on FUMBBL
I am also proud to announce the first tournament under the new rules. The HDBC events are continuing to run, and the format is as follows:
- • A tournament uses an initial 5 game pool stage using scheduled matches, followed by a 2 game playoff stage, where top 4 fight for the title, whilst the rest fight for honour and glory
- • An HDBC season will consist of 2 tournaments (14 games), followed by a knockout cup. Teams will then redraft at a cap of 750k
- • 10d deadlines for each round

Brand new teams for now. There is a technical path to transition old teams, but a bit of admin hassle. If you loved your old team, don't delete it and maybe I'll arrange a veterans exhibition tournament sometime :-)
Secret League 7s is not running as of now. Lanky was the main admin behind that, and I don't want to step on his toes (or manually transition 100+ rosters!).
Brand new teams for now. There is a technical path to transition old teams, but a bit of admin hassle. If you loved your old team, don't delete it and maybe I'll arrange a veterans exhibition tournament sometime :-)

It works fine with a full sized pitch tbf. Custom pitches would be ace, but I think the vast majority would rather the programming team stay focussed on getting redrafting etc finished before worrying about bonus extras
