Both fantastic but with Christiano's dribbling and scoring record (largely not playing as main striker) I would put him ahead of the Brazilian. Though he is more annoying. Also he plays in a great club teams but not great national teams so we saw more of Brazil Ronaldo in world cups.

Ronaldo's goal record was outstanding before he was crippled. Longevity is of course a massive factor when determining the GOAT. Who knows what would have happened had he not been plagued by injury.

I loved him at PSV, but Christiano (as much as he needs a slap) is a better player.

18 is old and past your best? That was his first knee injury at PSV, where he missed most of the season. Then his massive injury was 23 at Inter, when he was still the best player in the world. The fact he came back at all from that was outstanding. Then he was plagued by problems but still had excellent scoring records. CR is awesome, I like him more than Messi, but Ronaldo was different class.

George Weah's goal was better than Fat Ronaldo's - that you claimed to be the best goal ever scored. Also so was Maradona's. So was Ryan Gigg's vs Arsenal in the FA cup. So was another that Giggs scored as a 17 year old. So was Rooney's overhead kick vs City or Trevor Sinclair's incredible overhead kick for QPR. Or Cute Ronaldo's belter for Utd vs Porto. Zidane in the CL final? That's on 2 minutes reflection by a guy who hardly knows his football history. Negrete's wonder goal at the world cup, or Socrates beating 2 men then smashing it in from 30 yards.

Hell, that wasn't even Fat Ronaldo's best goal. It was scrappy, then he runs, then he beats 1.5 players and rolls it in. It was good, but great? Hardly. Best of all time? Hundreds, maybe thousands better than it.

Jimmy, cheers for the video. Ronaldo is my favourite player of all time and you've reminded of many reasons why.

That is a nice goal but it isn't either his best or the best ever.

If it wasn't for his injuries he could have been the greatest of all time. Still won world player of the year three times, second top scorer at World Cup finals ever and scored 2 goals every 3 games over his whole career.
