FUMMBL CUP
Well, I entered into the crazy Fummbl Cup tournament with my Chaos Dwarf team: Public Enemy Number 1.
This team sports a lot less guard than I normally like, but has 2 Stand Firmers and some other neat skills. Some players are niggled, but I figure what the heck, let's try and have some fun along the way.
ROUND-1: vs. Ro's orc team: Rugrats2 Revenge of the Kids.
Ro is a crafty coach. I have only played him twice before, in fact his 21st and 22nd ever fummbl matches were with me when he was first starting out here. Now we play in his 432nd game.
I tried some unconventional tactics and managed to pull out one of the best and hardest earned wins that I have ever had. Congrats to Ro for playing such a challening game.
ROUND-2: vs. JanMatty's Lavino Fighting Hellfishes. This seems to be quite a solid human team and is in top fighting shape. TR at 254, TS at 226 and 240,000gp in the treasury. I have my CD's at TR:218, ST: 177, with one CD as mng and 90,000 in the bank. I may have to buy a wizard to fight these guys too. The Hellfishes also have a Fan Factor of 21, as opposed to my meager 11
Still, he's giving up at least 2 handicaps and I'm a clever player, so I have a shot at winning this match.

I faced the Hellfishes and they were on a fury. I had totally bad dice all game and this guy turned into a foul-happy clown throughout the entire match. He piled on 5 fouls with DP's and could only muster KO's and stuns. His 2 casualties actually came from blocks. I had a chance to slow them down in the first half, but despite my containment attempts, the humans still managed to score by turn 5.
I tried to score soon, but skulls and men out of position left the ball open for the humans to score again. I thought about using my wizard, but it didn't matter really.
It just didn't seem to matter what I tried in this match, I failed every roll at good moments. This forced me to attempt even riskier plays and the dice just weren't there.
I didn't know how far I would go in this thing, but I tried and I won 1 game and lost 1 game. Just wasn't meant to be for this time. Maybe another time..
