Secret League Americas - Season 4 - Builder Division - The Disapperators Week 6
The Disapperators (Ethereal) Vs. Khazar of OrkHuns (Savage Orc)

Wini and the rest of the assembled spirits were shocked by the addition of a Merc Troglodyte to the savage orc roster for the match, and the Orcs elected to receive the opening kickoff after winning the toss. A Blitz! event allowed Matilda and a wraith to swarm to the landing spot of the ball, but Dzurgen the wandering's leap over the orc line needed a reroll and he then failed the dodge away and badly hurt himself before Horat could even blitz! Matilda caught the ball, but was quickly knocked down by a blitz and the ball was quickly in orc possession. the spirits swarmed the orcs on the top side of the pitch, with Horat killing APO MNG one of the blodging orks blitzers (almost another spirit host to join the cause!), but the pressure backfired as the orcs blocked their way free and ran to the south, completing a pass and running deep into the spirits half of the pitch. a failed gfi foiled the blitz on the ballcarrier, and the orcs were able to blitz the ballcarrier free and take a 1-0 lead in their turn 3.

That was all Nuffle would shine on the Orcs in this matchup. The Disapperators failed a handoff that would have allowed the rookie wraith to head into ork territory clear and free, but the spirits were able to block the ball free, and Dzagun the rabid scooped up the ball and ran into orc territory with a minimal screen. Foul Appearance foiled the blitz on the wraith, and a few blocks and Dzagun was free again, scoring in Turn 7! The half ended 1-1 with the spirits receiving.

Matilda was able to complete a pass to Wini, who handed the ball back to Matilda, and the spirits engaged the greenskins. greenskins punched back, but couldn't break the armor of the ghosts, who were able to move forward and back, and then took an opportunity when a orc block came up skull skull to push into greenskin territory and stall near the goalline before scoring on turn 15 (i could have tried to stall another turn, but it felt safer to score here...).

on the ensuing kickoff, the Disapperators deployed their explosive runes card on Tookuloo, so the no hands spirit was now a no hands secret weapon bombardier! the ghosts set up defensive, allowing the orcs free rein down the sidelines, and they took advantage, sending an orc deep past the ghosts. the mad bomber threw a bomb at the square in front of the downfield orc, knocking him down but not breaking armor (still in scoring range with 2 gfis), so a wraith went and marked him. the orc blitzed his way free from the wraith, and was able to get into the endzone, but the ball pickup failed, preventing the orc scoring opportunity. Final Score, 2-1 to the ghosts!

game started like the rest, but GotrekSlayer had the dice i'm used to having after turn 3, and i at least won't go winless this season... was able to buy a bench ghost after the game, and am 10k short for player 13, so i'll get that after the next game for sure (unless i have to replace a wraith or banshee... Wini regened from killed in the first half, and a spirit host also regened from dead later in the game). Wraith that scored got the MVP, and now has block, so all the wraiths except for my +AG one who hurt himself in turn 1 (again) have block (Horat also has Tackle). Matilda is at 12 SPPs, and i'm really hoping for some double rolls on her so i can attempt to turn her into a thrower (pass first, then safe throw or strong arm if i get another maybe), but dodge then block then sure hands if normal rolls. Spirit hosts are going to level slow as expected, but once i get the banshees and wraiths all up to 16 SPP, i can start focusing MVPs on the hosts to get them up to 6 and then 16 as well, as the wraiths and banshees are the only ones able to play the ball anyway. Got the rookie wraith leveled up this game, so my goal of preparing for the next season is moving along well. banshees at 20 and 12 SPPs, with wraiths at 8,11, 22, and 8 SPPs. ghosts are mostly still at 0, with one at 7 and one at 2. Stab was underwhelming in this game, but with as little as my armor broke, i can't really complain.

Should have a little bit of a break in between week 6 and 7, as my next opponent is still getting his week 5 game played, and round 7 isn't due until 5/20. This is good for me as i'll be really busy with band engagements for the next 15 days and then things slow down again.
