“In a truly awesome display of ineptitude, the Terrapins manage to keep the score close despite showing utterly no competency on the pitch. The game started with David Damascus failing to pick up the ball for several minutes.
"I was scared," David later admitted. "Looking at those worshipers of the blood god all I could think of is my skull being added to the skull throne. And then when Tac-oma got that neck injury... I thought it was all over."
David Damascus gleeful as he finally picks up the ball and runs from the chaos warriors chasing him
David was generally correct with that assessment. While he was able to eventually get the ball and move it barely into the Graves' side of the pitch, it was very quickly popped out again effectively stopping the Terrapins' drive.
The second half started with the Terrapins moving aggressively up the pitch, hoping for some Nuffle luck but sadly it was not meant to be. Three skinks were soon in the KO box and the Graves were firmly in control of the ball, moving it slowly down the pitch. In a last second gasp, Jaxson Airy made a uphill block on the ball carrier, pulling both of them to the ground and bouncing the ball into the end zone. Unlike David, the Graves had no problem picking up the ball and getting the only score.
The last insult to injury was David failing the vanity pass to get some end game experience. "This was a disaster from start to finish," coach Lancelott was heard saying after the game. "Tac-oma needs at least a week to recover so we're going to be short handed in our next game against the Eagles. We're going to get back to work on the practice field this week and hopefully turn this ship around."
For the fan's of the Terrapins, we hope that he's able to do it. Only time will tell...”
