Last update on the slanns!
Dont worry, I will not quit playing them, I will just not post things about it :)
Anyhow, match nr 3 was completly against me but that happends sometimes so thats ok. The opponents was a gang of rats and they used their speed to take the advantages they got.
I kicked and there was a pitch invasion! 0-1 in 2 rounds. My time to recive, and they got Blitz! 0-2!!! round 3 kickoff, Another Blitz! 0-3! after 4 rounds I was behind with 3 TD´s, and I Think thats an all time low for me(so far).
I managed to score in two rounds and second half I had to open up the game in order to get some TD´s but in order to do so, U open up your defens and often u loose doing so, and thats what happend here. Not by very much and it was Close a few times for me but Close just aint cut it here.
The worst things this game wasnt so much the kickoff blitzes or the pitchinvasion as much as I had the opporunity to take down the ballcarrier two times with 2 Dices and even with rerolls I just pushed him around. The score just dont show how Close it really was, but then again. Close doesnt Count!!!

ANd yes, I bought myself a blitzer!
So, how will I use the blogarea? Probobly get a humanteam going and enter a leauge and keep it fluffy storywise, but in order to do so, I will surely write in Swedish! Or is that against the rules? Guess I have to check for that first ;)

Congrats on the +ag and nice choice of Kick for the lineman, Slann really benefit for having a kicker. Side Step on the other catcher was not optimal though I think. Side Step only works when you get hit, and with no defensive blocking skills (dodge/block or wrestle) he's going down a lot, and with AV7, maybe staying down. Side Step is OK as a 3rd or 4th skill if you think it useful. imo

The skill path for catchers is Dodge - Block - SS (one gets Sure Hands)imho.
Guard or Pass for double.
Linefrogs go wrestle in the catcher build (block in the blitzer build but one gets wrestle to become the ballhawk).
Better get wrestle for 1-2 linos and then get a kicker.

Sidestep may not be the best, but I dont Think it is the worst either. Thought of Dodge but I want one for strolling down the sidelines and getting one Square Closer to the TD area when get hit, cause he prolly will be, and if he dont, He will prolly score asap.
I thought about the wrestle/block for lines but I Think Im more in need with a kicker so my catchers will be more effective. Let the opponents bigguys occupy the LOS if they want to, where they cant score :)
But wrestle on a blitzer may be quite useful since he already have jump up? I have no clue how they work on the field since Im a noob (specially with slann haha) but theoreticly it sounds great anyway :)

In the catcher build I use the blitzer as killer (MB, tackle, piling on) and leave the linefrogs to hunt the ball carriers. Sure wrestle has great synergy with jump up but the team needs a killer to have some hitting power. A linefrog needs two doubles to become one, the blitzer none.
You could even ommit the Blitzer and use the Krox as your blitzer - space creator(break tackle and then Juggs).
SS is not good as first skill, better get the survival skills first (blodge)

Yeah, I tought of using the krox if/when I get break tackle but he so unreliable that I have used my catchers/linefroggys to bring the ballcarrier down.
So noone like the SS? :(
And im not sure I need a killer, cause what I need to do is score more TD´s than my opponent and my primary goal is to avoid the figths as much as possible and score on my turn and hassle the ballcarrier with leap. One killer would just be very easy to avoid and in order to open up the field abit, the krox has that job cut out for him...... If he pleases to do so, that is.
But I might get the blitzer more deadly as he will be skilled up but im not sure yet.

Dodge is best for 3 reasons: 1) It is two skills for the price of one, 2) It provides protection for your weak AV7, and 3) it synergizes well with AG4. Block is second-best for the same reasons 1 and 2, plus synergizes with Dodge really well. So Side Step, while awesome and fun, comes third (or later). But no worries, just skill him up, and keep him out of trouble!
