A new era for The Lizards 0f ¥umtum Mountain
Ever since I first played Lizardmen in BlackBox (I made a team of each race) I've loved them. When I grew tired of BlackBox, I made a team in Ranked: The Lizards 0f ¥umtum Mountain.

Their first era was the era of the initial Lizards. I had two players that really pulled the team along, until BOTH aged in the same game.

Then came a short 'between stages' time for the Lizards. I began to have a picture for how he wanted the Lizards to look like: keep skills off the skinks, and try to get the best Sauri possible. During this 'between' period, one Lizard rose to the top: The Second Strongest Lizard. He was amazing, and just loved to surf unsuspecting players. Unfortunately at the same time he skilled up +AGI he also aged.

Then came the second era. Two lizards rose to the occasion: The Third Strongest Lizard and The Fourth Angriest Lizard While the Third Strongest Lizard was amazing at what he did, The Fourth Angriest Lizard had a berserk quality to him, that gave him the edge. Nothing could stop him, and he quickly became notorious; not only just in team, but also throughout all of Ranked Lizardman teams.

The team was playing great, and I decided that the upcoming GLT tournament would be perfect to show off the Lizards' skills. Things would not go so smooth, though. Two of the Lizards' Sauri aged the week of the tournament, one of them a blodge, guard, +AG saurus, and the other was The Third Strongest Lizard. I was forced to replace them both, and two unskilled sauri joined the ranks. There just wasn't enough time to skill them up, though. The Lizards were going into the tournament not quite how they had hoped.

The first game went very well. The Lizards purchased a wizard, but never needed it. The second game looked as though it would prove to be more of a challenge. The Lizards' were up against seasoned coach Fanatic. They had the gold for a wizard, but decided to save it for any casualties Specks dealt. The Lizards tried their best, but were unable to defeat the Nurgle squad. I knew that victory would be difficult, and hopes for the rest of the tournament had been somewhat lost when two experienced sauri aged just before the games began. What I was not ready for was the crushing loss of his beloved player: The Fourth Angriest Lizard. In OT, with the game tied, Specks did their best to defeat the Fourth Angriest Lizard. He had already killed two beastmen, and even with a clawed rotter knocking him down four turns in a row, he would not give up. Speck's DP came in to assist the rotter, and dealt a career ending blow: -STR.

The Lizards lost the match. The had the gold to replace their fallen comrade, but it was unlikely that he would even be truly replaced. At the time of his retirement, the Fourth Angriest held several Top 10 spot for active and all-time Lizardmen, and even held a Active Top 10 position for all races. At the time of his retirement, his estimated worth was 560,000 gp.

Times are looking tough for the Lizards. The team no longer has the 15 Lizards on the team, as is their norm and the team's Skinks are over skilled and Sauri underskilled.

Will a new Saurus reveal his hidden talent and bring the team into a new era of victory, or will the team's lopsided skillings cause them to sink lower and lower? With Nuffle and Quetzl's blessings, the team hopes the new era will bring many victories. Only time will tell.
