Another soul claimed by LRB 4
The Lizards of ¥umtum Mountain just can't get back to where they were! First we lose a 135 SPP saurus. A few games later, aging claims one at 51 SPP. Eight games after the murder of the Eleventh Baddest Lizard, we lose two sauri in one game. Three of the sauri who were present in the "One game from being tournament ready" team have been killed. Aging, trying not to be outdone by kills, has now claimed two.

The Seventh Biggest Lizard, a Block, Guard, Mighty Blow, Frenzy, Break Tackle saurus dealt two casualties in a crazy dice game vs p4m today, bringing him above the 126 threshold. During this skill, he earned the right to this custom icon designated for +STR Sauri. Yes, he skilled +STR at 126 SPP...and aged niggle at the same time.

Aging at the same time as a +STR roll is not new for the Lizards though. Half the sauri that have been blessed with a 6+6 roll have also been cursed with aging. The first was on his first skill(!), and now the second much later in life.

I don't mind the aging. That's a lie. I hate aging. That being said, I was ready for him to age. 126 SPP...it's pretty hard to get over that without grabbing a niggle. What's unfortunate is that he skilled +STR. It's like Nuffle is taunting me.

Now, of the former band of 6 awesome sauri, only one remains. But he will skill up past 76 SPP before the tournament starts...will aging claim the last of the great? Will the team be without a +STR yet again?

Nuffle, I'm not asking for +STR, +MA, or doubles (and definitely not +AG)...just please let my sauri not age! Take the skinks, they're easy to replace! Even take the Krox, because after one normal skill roll he's done! Please, leave the sauri alone!

wow...I submitted the blog post, immediately saw that blogs don't accept html code and went straight back to edit...and I get TWO posts about the code?

Are you stalking me or something? :P

I would have kept the niggled ST5 saurus for the WO, and used the apo on him if he misses a game. The niggle doesn't matter then.

I rated 6 because I feel your pain. I despise aging, too.

Too many Fumbbl coaches are overly obsessed about not having any Niggles on their roster. Those players will play in 83% of the games you want them to play in. 1 Niggle just isn't worth retiring a player over right before any Majors especially not such an AWESOME player.

They call these AGEING ROLLS because they represent how a player in REAL LIFE gets a little older and has the dings and nicks and trick knees that come with playing such a rough sport. Name a REAL LIFE team that is in the Playoffs without an older more experienced player or 2 that sometimes finds themselves unable to go in a game. It happens all the time.

This late in the Ranked "season" you can't afford to waive that guy and replace him with some Rookie. You should have kept him.

I know what you mean about being taunted by Nuffle though. Any Human Lineman I get with a +AG always rolls a 1 on any agility roll I make with them and never reaches their next skill before death. They can't Dodge, can't Catch, can't Quick Pass, can't Pick Up the ball... NOTHING. I get a skill that should allow me to build a "special" player and allow me to use some "special" tactics (for Humans at least) and Nuffle has cursed that player. Without that +AG I would probably just Mark or Block the player he is next to rather than Dodge and I wouldn't turn it over.
Obviously there comes a time to replace

Thing is a niggled saurus is a massive liability. You really can't afford for one of them to not show up, very few players are as irreplaceable as a Lizardman Saurus.

you're doomed. Never bring Nuffle to your attention by invoking him.
