Love the Lizardmen
Over half my games here on fumbbl have been with Lizardmen. I just love the green scales.

I love the fact that I can always force my opponent to play my game. There are very few teams that can do that - necro, maybe, high TR skaven and low TR amazon.

But no one does it like Lizardmen. If you are playing dwarves you run rings around them. If you are playing elves you focus on hitting them. Play to your opponents weakness. Thus, you force them to play your game.

Lizardmen has some serious disadvantages. Sauruses take FOREVER to skill. AG1 means you can only score casualties, and they have no block or mighty blow to boost them. It is common to play 20 games before getting A skill. This is frustrating, because they aren't of much use without it. Skinks not having access to general skills is also a problem, because without a dirty player you are setting yourself up to get fouled.

The fragility of Lizardmen is legendary. Most people assume I am talking about skinks, because st2 av7 stunty - but Sauraii suffer too. The reason is BECAUSE they take so long to skill it makes for a fragile team - lose one or two all of sudden your team is not looking as good as it once did. And it will be a while before you catch up.

For this reason I never use an apothecary on a skink. They are about as useful on 0spp's (in terms of TR) as they are skilled up on 35. Besides, they die constantly all the time anyway, and blocking Sauruses are so important to your side.

Which is why I live by my motto

"Skinks are temporary, Sauraii take forever to skill"
