Rules

General Overview
BIBBL (Bloodweiser Inter-regional Blood Bowl League) is a seasonal fluff-heavy league, with regional play, cups and inter-regional ranked play, making use of CRP + SL teams and CRP+ rules.

Group Restrictions
Teams are to be made with the CIBBL/BIBBL ruleset. Teams are required to be sufficiently 'fluffed up', which is up to the judgment of the league admins. This includes unique, proper team and player names, a team logo, overall in the BIBBL and traditional Blood Bowl spirit. In case you need help with your bio ask for help, someone will be there to help you out. The league will provide a bio template, that will help coaches not good with bb code.

Join us at Discord!
Discord is a chat application, and a great place for all kinds of banter and communication. Join us on Discord!

Team Creation & Recruitment
We are always recruiting, as teams can be added in between seasons! If you are interested in playing, send a PM to the league administration (Calthor)!
After PM communication with the league administration, make sure to create a team for this league at the top right on the overview page, or alternatively, click here!

Group Time Zone
This is a European time zone league. All coaches are expected to be able to play during 1800-2300 server time (GMT+1) but provided both parties agree any time may be scheduled. Only game offers with reasonable times will be taken into account for forfeit decisions. However, we will do our best to place non-European time zone coaches together in regions, which will facilitate ease of play during the Spring season.

Disappearances and CabalVision sanctions
CabalVision kindly asks any coach that has any problem attending games for an extended period of time to let the CabalVision Representatives know. This way tourneys won't be stalled because of coach disappearances and CabalVision viewers can enjoy a steady flow of games.
If a coach disappears without contacting the Representatives, his games in the current season will be forfeited until he returns. If he does not return until the end of the season in which he disappeared, then his team will be suspended, but can still return at a later time. If, however, another coach has now replaced the roster slot, then the team is banned from playing again.
In short, CabalVision would kindly request that coaches communicate when they have any issues with getting games played.

Schedule
The BIBBL schedule is divided in four phases, or seasons, from Winter to Spring to Summer, culminating in the Autumn. Note: These do not follow the real life seasons.

Winter
BIBBL is comparably dormant in the Winter season. As such, only friendly matches are played during this period, which is represented by a playing timespan of around 2 weeks. Coaches can play up to three friendly matches in this period. None of these earn any Prestige Points, in contrast to matches from other seasons.

Spring
In the Spring season, provisionally lasting around 40-45 days in playing time, the Regional competitions are held. Regionals are traditionally held by means of scheduled round robin, but exceptions might be made in case of exceptionally large Regional group, if this occurs. Prestige Points are earned.

Summer
In the Summer season, Cups and Tournaments are held. Teams receive one or more invitations depending on any number of factors, whether it is their current Prestige ranking, their roster, their regional location, or a myriad of other factors, combined or not.
All the Summer cups and tournaments earn Prestige Points.

Autumn
The year culminates in the autumn, which features inter-regional ranked play. All teams are divided in a number of divisions of 6-8 teams per division, based on their Prestige Points. The top division here is therefore considered to be the top teams at that point in time, and they are struggling to become the year's absolute top team. All matches and results count for Prestige Points, which is also fully important for next year.

Prestige Points
With all this talk about Prestige Points, and how they influence invitations and positions for the Summer and Autumn seasons, what exactly are Prestige Points in BIBBL?

Well, simply speaking, Prestige Points reflect the rankings of the teams beyond a single season, beyond a single tournament. Prestige Points reflect which teams are at the top of the league at a single point, and which are at the bottom. At any one time, Prestige Points of the last 4 seasons are counted, and 50% of the 4 seasons before that.

Prestige Point Calculations

Note: Prestige decays; after one season, only 50% of that earned prestige counts. After two seasons, that prestige is no longer relevant.

Note: The friendly matches from the Winter (Pre-Season) phase generally do not count for Prestige. Do not expect them to count for Prestige Points, unless some sort of exception is in play.

Take the following example for a calculation:
In Year 2, at the start of the Autumn (Ranked) phase, Prestige is counted. What is included is the Spring (Regional) and Summer (Cup) phases of that Year, as well as the Autumn (Ranked) phase of Year 1 and any player awards from Year 1. What is also counted is the Spring (Regional) and Summer (Cup) phases of Year 1. However, of the phases of Year 1, the Spring and Summer phases only count for 50%.

Timing Out Players
In BIBBL we do not time each other out. If you feel that a coach is excessively slow, please report it to the league commissioner.

Scheduling games, Extensions and Forfeits
Coaches should schedule their games via PM. In case of problems your group admin should be invited to resolve issues. When a game is scheduled via PM please use the scheduler on your teams page.
Cabalvision viewers should not be cheated out of their money, they pay their coins to see teams played! Any team repeatedly not showing up and having their game forfeited will be excluded from the league.

Extra Rules Used
Overdogs (teams that have the higher TV) cannot spend more than 100K on inducement money. One main reason for this is to prevent overdogs with money to spare to unbalance matches by purchasing a wizard, for example.
For teams close to each other in TV, they should also refrain from purchasing a wizard with their treasury money.
Basically, the intention is that the wizard should only be bought as underdog inducement for teams at least around 100K TV down. The Wizard should not be purchased for team equal or higher in TV.

Mega Star skill level at 126 added.
Right Stuff cancels Tackle skill on blocks.
Piling On is unavailable as skill.
Uninterfered fouls add +1 on the injury roll.
Players with the Sneaky Git skill lend assists to fouls in tackle zones.
Sent off Sneaky Git players are sent into the KO box, instead of being banned. (Temporarily disabled due to bug)
No cards can be bought from petty cash or inducement money.
Wizard is still available in BIBBL.

Roster Changes

- Secret League changes of 2017 have been implemented in BIBBL.

- Secret Weapon rolls are used. Prices of some players might be adjusted accordingly sometimes with 10K difference. As a general rule, Deathroller-type Secret Weapons have a roll of 4+, Chainsaws/Bombs/Ball&Chain have a roll of 8+, and Blunderbuss type weapons have a roll of 10+.

Differences with standard teams:
- Troll on Goblin teams lose Loner.
- Orc Blitzers on Orc teams cost 90k.
- Slann Blitzers on Slann teams cost 100k.
- Tomb Guardians on Khemri teams lose Decay.
- Ogres on Ogre teams are 0-8.
- No M access for Chaos Dwarf Blockers.
- Vampire rosters with Blood Lust have 10K discount on RR.
- Assassins on Dark Elf roster are -10K.

- Spawn of Chaos team is aligned to all gods instead of just one. In addition, the players do not turn into rookies when progressing into spawnier versions of themselves, but keep their skills and SPP.
- Centigor have Sure Feet for +10K. (In BIBBL, they are considered to be sure of feet still due to their four feet, despite their drunkenness.)

BIBBL balance rule for Malal:

In order to put some sort of boundary to Malal's roster, the team can only have up to a maximum of TV600 value on acquired players, counting the base value of these players. Players that only have G access and players with Right Stuff are exempt when counting this value. Beasts of Malal are counted as acquired players for this purpose. This would therefore for example not include a Norse Lineman or a Ind Lineman, but it would include a Dwarf Lineman or Wood Elf Lineman. While there is a maximum of TV value on acquired players, there is no maximum on the amount of acquired players otherwise.

Waiting List
Coaches on current waiting list:

Star Players
Star Players in BIBBL do not always recover from injuries incurred in games, and as such, stat decreases sometimes become a permanent part of their stat line. When they die, they sometimes do not return ever.
However, as time passes, new Star Players will become available for inducements instead.

Regions

CabalVision has divided the regions across the world into 21 separate regions. Although in some cases there has been some disgruntlement here and there regarding the decisions made by CabalVision officials, such as the High Elves from Ulthuan and the Dark Elves from Naggaroth complaining about being banded together, there is no doubt that these are the officially recognized regional divisions in BIBBL.

According to CabalVision regulations, a region is only considered active and competitive if at least 3 officially recognized teams have been registered and accepted in the official BIBBL registration books. CabalVision does its best to encourage regional divisions with 4+ teams in it in the interest of competitive division health.

88th Brass Legion of Dis
Active: Year Two, Autumn - Now
Biography: In ages long since past the Fist of Khorne within the immense brass fortress of Dis has stood within the Realm of Chaos, from within its clanking foundries and billowing forges thousands upon thousands of warriors had marched in lockstep from its burning gates, sweeping across the world to wreak unholy terror upon the foes of the Blood God, slaughtering in his name, bathing in the blood of his enemies.

And then the rule of war was overturned for the rule of sports instead and the great pounding foundries of Dis turned silent, never to see activity again.

Until now.

For when the gates of Dis opened once more to spill it's hordes onto the world, the ordained 88th legion founding was not the customary eight thousand eight hundred and eighty eight screaming daemons pouring out onto the world in a tide of blood, it was merely 4 Bloodletters equipped for this game that had become the substitute to war. Dragging with them their subservient mortal underlings undeserving of names until they earn them on the field of glory, the 88th Brass Legion of Dis marches forward to deliver it's own brand of furious martial violence to the field of Blood Bowl..

Strangely enough it seems like some creatures come out of the Labyrinth anyway, though never more than just one team. Then they leave into the Labyrinth again, even though it can't be found. This happens just before every match, oddly enough this seems to be some sort of obscure grand plan set in motion by Tzeentch, in order to influence something small and subtle like causing an injury on someone! This will in turn ultimately affect the whole world on a grand scale, through thousands of thousands of chain events. Even a Touchdown will have enormous consequences, the whole universe can be at stake through an intricate pattern sent through the labyrinth and onto the pitch.

Wasteland Chain Gang
Active: Year Two, Summer - Now
Biography: The Blasted Wastes has sustained the tribe for generations. It is not a thriving existence, but the salt flats and the valued minerals it contains has allowed a succession of brutal khans to carve a home of sorts. The current Khan, Gorlug Fearblade, as underhanded and conniving a khan as one can find, has expanded the power and reach of the tribe though a vicious assortment of backstabbings and underhanded dealings. With the salt flats securely in hand and the gold pouring in, Gorlug, a bloodthirsty sort and ever a fan of the brutal game, has assembled a BloodBowl team to compete in the BIBBL. The team in his twisted mind is his crowning achievement and is as cruel an owner as you’ll find as each win and loss, in his mind, reflects on his own personal power.

With two trusted lieutenants, a troll for muscle, four powerful (if somewhat reluctant) Black Orc slaves, a mass of hungry hobgoblins eager to prove themselves, and one lone and rather dubious human coach, The Wasteland Chain Gang sets out into the wider world to prove themselves for the glory of their khan.

Others say that it is because it couldn’t possibly be called a team since none of the players think it necessary to train regularly or follow a simple game plan, deeming it completely beneath them.

Noteworthy Deeds: Regional Champions (Year Two).
