Malefic Mimes take on CIBBL
The Malefic Mimes had done the impossible. They had convinced Dark Elves and High Elves to temporarily put down their weapons and play on the same team. In fact they had done it thrice. Both Prince Moranian and Hubris Rakarth had designated the Mimes as their prefered team this season and both had taken the pitch to show the silent elven union the ways of CIBBL.

In their first outing, the pair had given the Malefic Mimes a chance against the mighty Doom Glade Demons. In the first half the Demons were unprepared and the Mimes gave them a shock by scoring late in the half and taking a 1-0 lead into the locker room. Only late game heroics and Nuffle intervention kept the Demons from an embarrassing loss to open the season.

A few days later, the Mimes took the field against the other new comer to the region the Spite Reach Corsairs. The two rookie teams battled but the result was not close. The Corsairs soared to in to drub the Mimmes who provided nothing more than comic relief. To be fair, no one really expected them to do well in that match. The Khanite blades were sharp and the mimes had little more than tunics for protection.

Things only deteriorated against Clar Karond's Black Widows. The Widows opened the first half by injuring elf after elf. By halftime the game was over. Both Hubris and Prince Moranian had left the game early.

It was at that point that Kondor, Moranian, and Hubris took aside the young Mime named Sabine to give her some three on one lessons. When the whistle blew for the game against the Dukes of Earthquake Valley, there was a sparkle in her eye and a spike on her boot. Hubris too had a chip on his shoulder. Time after time the Dukes hit the ground. I the blow from Hubris did not take them out, Sabine's boot did. Hubris went on to kill two Dukes and Sabine dropped 8 consecutive boots without the referee noticing.

Shockingly, the Malefic Mimes found their first victory. Cibbl take notice. An elf has learned how to foul.

Watched the game against the Dukes and it was nice to see what you can do when Nuffle isn't hating on you. Next year's Spring regional is going to be fun!

Yohoho! The Pirates salute this Sabine, and there's a space reserved for them on our crew whenever suits!

I'll bet the Cabalvision interviews are real exciting! Please tell me you are teaching them all the true mime BB skills of shadowing, side-step and fend :)

Next time the Demons will hopefully be better prepared at game start. Reading the above they better should.
