The Third Person Present Singular
I am a great believer in the power of tradition and weight of past practice, but now I believe that the time has finally come.
We must all band together, all speakers of English, whether we use it as a first, second or foreign language, we must present a united front against those who would oppose us!
This resistance will come from the realms of education and the enforcers of grammar, but we must be strong!
We must destroy this blight on the English language! We must oppose it! We must fight it with all our strength!
The Third Person Present Singular is a relic of a bygone age! It serves no purpose other than to confuse and dishearten!
Let forever be "I play", "You play" and "She play"!
Never again will we say "He plays"!
Together we can defeat this ancient evil!
But seriously, this part of English grammar is a relic and has no useful purpose. I believe that it is already following "whom" into the realms of extinction, and anything we do will help to hurry it on its way. It's demise would serve to simplify, if only in a small way, an already far too complex grammar structure.

Well maybe that's a bit over the top, but English grammar is more complex than it needs to be. (Anyway the only other language I speak is Chinese and it's grammar is much easier than English's)
