Dogs
A time ago I sat here getting tears in my eyes when reading of the passing of another coach his dog. Now I sit here watery eyed again because I'm afraid the reaper will come calling for my dog tonight. He had a seisure last evening and the doc doesn't have high hopes. At the moment he's not suffering,but if he gets another attack I think I'll have to put him down. Crappy thing is my parent have just gone on holiday for two weeks, they come back tonight. Hope he pulls through, but thats a very slim chance. Al least I hope he gets to see my parents come home. So if you dont see me online the next couple of days, now you know why. :(

Sad to hear. Do what's best for your dog if he's in pain, and take the time off to remember him.

My Dog is 2 years old, and already I cant help myself from dreeding the day when I lose her.

Its never gets easy and its not surposed to. All best to your dog! hope it makes it!!

That is difficult, man.
Losing a dog is the worst. I've lost relatives I miss less than my dog.
I hope it all works out for the best.

I had to put my 17-year-old dog down two weeks ago. Kidney failure was causing her to waste away and she could barely move anymore. It was still difficult to say goodbye to her.

My heart goes out to you.

I've had to put down a Bernese Mountain Dog companion of 15 years (took me a year, really, to grow the stones to do it). I've had a 2 year old dog get hit by a car on Christmas and die in my arms. I've had a dog I was going to adopt from the Humane Society that I knew for 4 hours... it died on the table getting neutered.

It's never easy saying goodbye. But the memories are always worth it. Anyone who's ever lost a pet sends regards...

Thx all for your kind words, I have let him go to sleep yesterday, in the presence of his family at home, where he'll get his burial. But many a good memory remain and even though I'll miss him, I'll think of him always with a smile on my face. (maybe with a lil' water in the eye, but thats just the wind ;) )
