Black Orc miniatures painted
Hello o/

I have been painting the Black Orc team from the Blood Bowl Second Season box. I just love the models. The Orcs are mean, and the gobbos are characterful.

This is the 4th team I've painted - the others are pictured in my first blog - and I definitely feel I'm improving and moving forward my skill level.

The troll is painted but not pictured; I find the Throw Team Mate one-legged pose somewhat silly and more suited to a goblin team. I will save her for my Night Goblin team; I'll make this up from my vintage Goblin Secret Weapons plus some converted Warhammer troops.

So we need a mean troll for the Black Orc team! Mostly likely I will use a Fellwater Troggoth, the one projectile vomiting is pretty gnarly and fits the new BB2020 skill.

Thanks for reading, see you on the pitch.

P.S. If you want a closer inspection you can right click the images and open them on another tab in your internet browser. Every errant brush stroke will become immediately apparent eeek!

Thanks, I'm really proud of this lot. Can't wait to get started on the next team.

Really nice paint job, congrats!
(Love how white the gobbo shirt looks, and the freehand numbers on the BO's).

BTW what did you used to make the texture in the bases?
It looks simple but very thematic at the same time.

Thanks, I have to admit though the numbers are transfers.
The steps for the bases was like this.
1. PVA glue and Sand.
2. PVA glue and Army Painter 'Brown Battleground'
3. PVA glue mixed 1/4 with water
4. Paint Black
5. Drybrush Grey
6. Drybrush White

With drying time I did this over two days, but it was really simple to do.
I think the children were proud to donate a bit of their sand pit to the scheme : )

Wow, these are great. They look like from a seasoned miniature painter. Good effort on the bases too.

That is a very clean, bright white t-shirt that goblin is wearing!

P.S. Look great!

Ha ha! It’s funny ‘cos it’s true. Pallid Wytch Flesh with White highlights. T’other mini has a bit more agrax in the folds.
I will eventually add some rust, dirt & damage to all the models. But for now I’m moving on..

Constructed a GW treeman this evening, keeping it in two halves in order to paint the hollow trunk.
