Well the buccaneers and 99% of all high TV teams always hovered in that 2200 to 2400 range. Sure there where a few exceptions but a TV reset at 2200 would not, IMO, offend any one, since, well, that was high TV play in R/B.

I dislike very high TV teams and welcome the redraft mechanism if it is used to limit teams

Keeping track of your own , and opponents skill ups during a game is a pain for my old noggin, and is only just feasible on a digital platform , its not TT but imagine trying to do that on TT which for me is what i use fumbbl for, as a TT facsimile

Bam there it is! I new if I used a good lure and set the trolling motor at around 3km per hour I would find the perfect quote.

What sets FUMBBL apart from TT is that it is very difficult to almost impossible to play if both teams are at 2300 TV and every player has multiple skill ups, varied skill ups and stats gains. THUS TT Blood Bowl is designed and manipulated to keep the teams at low TV, low # of skill up on players...in order to make the game flow easier and faster. You dont have to do that on FUMBBL.

Yet for some reason some coaches want to push for low TV Blood Bowl on FUMBBL because it hurts their brain? Just dont like it? Also in the real world of Blood Bowl, do you actually have a legacy team in a TT group where your team has 50+ games and are on season 5+? I would think if you say YES, you are in the vast minority of TT gamers. You have the best TT league around, where do I sign up?

I do find it interesting that some coaches "come at me" because I have always been a advocate for big teams, big back story and yes, fine, Iam the coach of the Buc's. So, the blow back on me is I dont want to play small TV C/B because it hurts my ego or my specific teams. That is not why I advocate for high TV play. I do so because that is the BIGGEST selling feature on FUMBBL. You cant find high TV play any where else in the Blood Bowl Universe. I think this is good for FUMBBL, not specifically me.

Let me be crystal clear on this.

High TV in C/B is very good for FUMBBL. Low tv cap with redraft in C/B is very bad. Not the redraft but redraft at low TV...Low TV in C/B is anything less than 2000TV.

You want to play low TV with 8 game season and redraft, we have hundreds of Leagues to support you in your quest.

Side Note: why make "open" C/B the place for Low TV and then shove all the High TV guys over to League? A total inversion of how FUMBBL has worked since the dawn of time. On top of that if you crazy coaches want to play high TV you must do it using BB2016 rule set. IMO this is just crazy and FUMBBL will suffer because of it.

Splitting the divisions again with seasons only on the scheduler would give more people what they want. Though you'd need split Majors too.

There would be a reason for merging them in the first place. Lack of coaches probably.

I agree with most of the statements here:
I don't understand why there should be (frequent) redrafts in C.
The whole idea is to slowly build a team.

There are several teams which start with very few skills and need plenty of time to develop properly - but this is the fun part of why we play.
Redrafting makes it senseless to even start a Chaos or Khorne team (and several others).

Season Re-Draft on FUMBBL, according to Christer himself, will be like this:

- 15 games per season
- Re-drafting budget of 1,000k + 10k per game + 10k per win + 5k per tie + team treasury
- Re-drafting hard cap of 1,350k


So, 1350 TV, not 1000 TV. As an aside, I don't think that Season Re-Draft is a well-thought rule, there was a better and simpler way to keep teams in check. Moreover, since the rosters are unbalanced by design, if you artificially push all the teams of a division into a specific TV range you are just encouraging people to play the races strong in that TV range.
Since 1350 TV is mid-low TV the teams requiring some skills just to be playable are going to suck. Instead, in the past ruleset, you could play for example Vampires, suck for some games, develop some Legend Vampires and turn the team into a quite competitive one. Now after every 15 games you are forced to drop some players and start against just to earn the core skills they lack, without the possibility to nominate the MVP.

There are many options in the kind of BB environment you want to play in on fumbbl . Leagues have the option of setting their own redraft caps, i guess the sky is the limit!

Christer wants to stick as closely to the the BB ru!es as possible, and as an online facsimilie of TT BB2020 is what i am after, this pushes the right buttons for me.

Should there be a change in rules next addition , so be it, i could either accept them or not

This does not preclude me from indulging in other options for variety, but i do like the simulation of the lower tv environment found in local club leagues and tournaments.

I'm with you. HOWEVER, the reasoning is that if you compress the tv to a smaller bandwidth you will have more acceptable match-ups and as such more games played. At least that is the logic.

This is especially thought to be true in a Black Box type of environment. It has been said that players dislike the large TV gaps. In the past, inducements were not good enough to make up for the skill difference. Now, the stars may overcompensate if there is a large gap.

For the record, I completely disagree with the philosophy but that is part of the reasoning.

I will and have played high TV, not that keen in general, but can be fun especially in custom leagues with effectively high TV

Are you obtuse? You can play C/B at ANY tv range YOU desire, no other coach or Christer on high can dictate that to you.

Yet, you advocate for a BB2020 future where the C/B div's are forced to play at a certain TV range. IF you do not like that, then bugger off to L.

If your primary motivation is to use FUMMBL as a simulation of Table Top reality...FUMBBL offers monthy/bi-monthly tournaments and league play that does just exactly that. Iam sorry if you want to jump on FUMBBL and play a simulated TT experience that you can not find it in C/B. Yet you can force yourself to play at low tv and find a like minded coach on game finder to play against.

OK, at the end of the day, I fully appreciate and support Christer in his dedication to this site and Blood Bowl in general. When the day comes, that Christer decides on what to do with TV/Redraft and so forth in the C/B div, I will address it with him, in a public or private form.

IMO a no cap C/B League on FUMBBL is very important to the site. I will no give up until I get my day in court with Christer.... :}
