2nd match
Just played my 2nd match, against Pineapple's orcs. 1-1, I was in the ropes many turns and got 2 SI (thrower -1M and liner Niggling).

What did I learn?
Orcs can be sneaky too. At the end he tried a desperate move by going back in his zone with the ball, handing it to Thrower and launching a bomb on the open side that almost scored. I barely managed to stop him before the game ended.
Also : rat-ogres can do nothing. And I mean, like, choose action -> fail : he stalls for the turn. It happened 3 times. I need to re-check his rules carefully to use him best.
Also : luck counts for a lot. I had a great opening for a TD early but failed 3 handoffs (plus a pickup) while he must have passed just about every single AGI roll until the last turn.
Also : SI (serious injury) is kinda bad, but the worse is they miss next game.

I'm having fun, but the fact is my team is actually losing money every game. I need to check how to win more money, and probably restart if things dont get better soon (pobably dropping the rat-ogre that time).

Also : wont do today, but I need to check on those SP. Foodsnatcher got his 2nd MVP award for picking his nose all game, and at 6 SP I can start buying them... something... I think. Must check, later. Maybe Gubla reached 6, I need to check, but "stats pending" at the moment.

You get more money from having more fans, and from winning.

There's a table in LRB4 where the total gate from the game, plus your TR, determines the bonus to winnings at the end. The gate is 1d6 per total FF of the two teams playing, so the more FF you have the better, and the higher your opponent's FF the better (at least for gate).

Also you get +1 to your winnings if you win (no penalty for tie or losing though).

Hi, best advice i can give you is never rely on your rat ogre to do anything important!!! It is a good idea to leave him till you have moved all your other players and block with him as your last move. Blitzs are best used by your stormvermin. Your RO is good for tieing up the opposition, with his ST5 most teams will need 3 or 4 players on him to take him down. This will leave the main part of your team free to score:)

This is a great article on how important high FF is for generating cash.

Yeah, I was watching that game. Still have some learning to do.

About the money, you need to have a higher Fan Factor. Best when starting a team make it as high as possible. Personally I dont start with Rat Ogre on the team. And always try and use him last in your turn because they cant reroll they always risk getting a turnover.

I didn't go back to check on this rule... so it may be spreading rumors ;) But I believe that with Wild Animal (Rat Ogres and Minotaurs) you have a higher chance of failure when just moving, than you do when blitzing or blocking.

Welcome to the site, btw... have fun!
