What to do when I break my streak?
OK, so I just hit my first ever 20-game unbeaten streak (even in TT, where I had a couple unbeaten seasons, i never went 20 games without a loss). When it breaks, I'm thinking about playing some serious uphill matches.

1) My gamefinder policy has been to greenlight the fairest-looking matchups that are the kind of game I want to play (bashfest, style-fight, whatever), and then to take any other greenlights that come my way after 30 seconds, unless I have a very good reason not to do so, in which case I tend to PM the coach I don't want to play (not always).

2) This has led me to end up playing mostly mid-rated coaches. I'm not sure why, but almost everybody I've played in the last 20 matches has been in the 140s or 150s. Maybe it's just distribution: after all, most coaches are in that range.

3) This means I tend to get a lot of fair fights, but it also means I don't get my share of uphill fights, and lately, I haven't played anybody much better than me.

How should I celebrate my streak when it breaks?
a) Activate the Wildsquigz. They're fun but bloaty, and their high TV means they can go head-to-head with the scariest teams. I've been staying away from them because I'm having fun playing low-TV, but I'd be happy to go back to them.
b) Challenge some really good coaches.
c) Activate the teams I've been playing, but play as far uphill as I can find.
d) Donate $1 to FUMBBL for every win I end up with in the streak, and 50¢ for every tie.
e) Open to suggestions.

Challenge yourself to play 2 minute turns? :o

Dunno, but making a blog about a streak usually ends the streak in the next game :P. You've jinxed it now.

Next challenge: 20 game WINNING streak :P

Or, since you had 10 wins in these 20 games, go for a 10 game winning streak.

@ Fabrizio: That's okay. Nuffle's a bitch and then your pixlz die.

@ Overhamsteren: I'm a'tryin'. My style wants 3-minute turns, and sometimes I'm still a tad slow on that, even. The nature of the beast is that if you block like I do you end up taking a long time to do it, and your opponent ends up taking a long time to respond to it. Last night my opponent would complain about how slowly I was playing, then take two minutes to think at the start of every turn. :)

play blackbox, you'll start losing ;)

@ latulike, you're prolly right. I don't like the way Blackbox develops, but that doesn't mean I can't play rookie Box teams. I do sometimes, and my record is not as good there.

@blader4411, that's a bit out of my hands. I'm always on for a win: had I had my way, I'd be riding a 20-game winning streak, rather than just an unbeaten streak. Hard to celebrate by winning, when winning is the thing you can't control. I suppose I could go out of my way to play rookie coaches, but focusing on low-value teams has me playing too many of those for my tastes already (a factor that doubtless contributed a bit to the streak, but since I didn't engineer it that way I won't let it take away from the glow).

Made it to 22 games before having a bad day with my Nurglings. :)
