NBFL Draft Grade Roundtable #1: NFC East
NBFL NFC East Draft Grading Roundtable

New York Genocides
Khorne, ex-convict
Last Season: 2-6-6.
Assets: great Bloodletters, 1 Herald, fair Bloodthirster, some Guard Pit Fighters.
Needs: Herald, maybe some Pit Fighters or a better Bloodthirster.
Draft Capital: 3, 35.
Trades: #3 traded down twice to #22, to pick up #43 and #54.
#22 Daniel Juarez [CAL], Herald. Block, Guard, Tackle, Mighty Blow, 53 SPP.
#35 Red Zan [KAR], Pit Fighter. Guard, Mighty Blow, 25 SPP.
#43 JD [KAR], Pit Fighter. Guard, Mighty Blow, 25 SPP.
#54 Keaton Sutherland [EnM], Pit Fighter. [Skill], [Skill], 16 SPP.
GPA: 3.43
• Bazakastine: B+
Had a clear plan and executed it. Grade is dropped slightly that I felt they did not get great pick value on either trade down but all 3 2nd round picks ended up being exactly what they needed which is a huge boost. Team is loaded with Guard and has enough Mighty Blow now to create real issues.
• JackassRampant: A-
The team didn’t have a whole lot of needs, and now they’re loaded with decent players. Lots of Guard now should really help. Red Zan and JD should be interesting prospects, if they live. They didn’t get anything studly, but honestly, the “stud” role is for the Bloodletters, and they fill it fairly well as-is.
• ArrestedDevelopment: B+
Another setup of trading down from Khorne and another set of decent results [like the Buffaelo Khills in the AFC]. Particularly snazzy are the Guard Pit Fighters. Achieved everything wanted from the draft and a clear strategy cleanly executed.
• Jeffro:
Dirty bastard stole my stuff. Pretty sure he cheats by paying someone to read my mind. Cuz Lord knows he hasn't read anything since "Everybody Poops"... jerk.

Dallas Crowbar
Dwarf, OTS
Last Season: 2-2-6 (joined midseason).
Assets: Blitzers, fair Slayers, one Runner, a couple good Blockers.
Needs: Runner, maybe Blockers or a Deathroller.
Draft Capital: 13, 45; Comp 2.2.
#13 Death by GFI [ND], Runner. Dodge, Wrestle, +ST, Dump-Off, 51 SPP.
#45 Montel Jordan [PEP], Blocker. Dodge, [Skill], 23 SPP.
#C2.2 Zeke Elliot [DAL], Blocker. Guard, Mighty Blow, Stand Firm, 50 SPP.
GPA: 2.67
• ArrestedDevelopment: B
Solid picks overall but I really don't like the runner, so this grade comes down overall. He's half of one thing half another and possibly just nothing of something. I've no doubt OTS will utilise him well as a double sided threat, but it does feel like there were surely other slightly more traditional options.
• JackassRampant: C+
Death by GFI is not a great Runner. There, I said it. He has Wrestle, making him want to use Dump-Off, but he’s AG3 and has no passing skills. He’s versatile, but being bad at a lot of things doesn’t make one worthy. Zeke Elliot was a better pick by far, the bright spot of this haul. A 2-skill player with Dodge is a mispick unless you pick Dodge a lot, and they only have one other Dodge Blocker, so ….
• Bazakastine: B-
Comp pick is perfect with the 3 best blocker normal rolls and only 1 spp to get a 4th skill. 2nd rounder is a good pick as well. Grade is brought down by the runner who becomes an expensive odd fit. It still appears useable but OTS will have to work to maximize his potential.
• Jeffro:
Well... he'll have to bone up on his writing skills to make sure he can keep up with that Book of Grudges he'll be furiously scribbling in after each game. Every time a dorf dies, an angel gets it's wings.

Witchington Paleskins
Dark Elf, Garcangel
Last Season: 6-4-4.
Assets: 3 Blitzers, Witch, a fair Runner-as-passer.
Needs: Witch Elf, Blitzer, carrier Runner.
Draft Capital: 18, 50.
#18 Mascarita Sagrada [POLI], Blitzer. Guard, +MA, Mighty Blow, 31 SPP.
#50 Stomping Tom Collins [ND], Witch Elf. Tackle, Leap, +MA, 31 SPP.
GPA: 3.00
• JackassRampant: B+
Mascarita Sagrada has all the hard-to-get tools that make a Dark Elf Blitzer great, and as the 18th pick, that was a solid selection. Collins is risky, but it was a late pick and if the player dies, rookie Witches aren’t that hard to build.
• Bazakastine: B
Clear fit with both picks but the witch is still a project and the blitzer needs 1-2 normals to reach potential. Grade gets a boost as they both fit the coach very well and more speed on DE is always a good thing.
• Arrested Development: B-
These are pretty boring picks to be honest. But that's all DE need. Perhaps a little bit reachy with the lack of dodge and block/wrestle and some fair spp needed to get there.
• Jeffro:
I would say something to the effect of "Funny name for a girl..." but I should be more sensitive in this day and age of Wokeness. So since mama says if you don't got nothin' nice to say don't say anything... here goes:

Phull-o-s’elfia Egos
High Elf, Arcayn
Last Season: 7-2-5. Playoffs: #3 seed, 0-1.
Assets: Thrower, Blitzer, 2 good Catchers.
Needs: Blitzer, Catcher, Lineman.
Draft Capital: 24, 56.
#24 Dwayne Wallace [CAL], Blitzer. Mighty Blow, Frenzy, Juggernaut, 31 SPP.
#56 Far Better Place [NV], Lineman. Kick, Block, [Skill], 31 SPP.
GPA: 3.57
• Bazakastine: A-
For as late a pick as they had Dwayne Wallace is a perfect blitzer. All 3 skills fit together perfectly for his roll and it really opens up the options for an Elf team that can now really play the sidelines. 2nd round pick is a solid 3 skill player who had a shot at something special
• JackassRampant: A-
Dwayne Wallace is an excellent High Elf Blitzer with a very high ceiling, and Far Better Place fills a clear need with a low-value pick. Bravo, Arcayn!
• Arrested Development: B+
Solid blitzer pick. Late pick isn't bad value either. HC can pat himself on the back.
• Jeffro:
There's a Far Better Place for a High Elf Lineman with Kick... and it's called the KO bin. You might say "Why not wish death?!" - it's because a key piece that stays in KO is more frustrating to a High Elf team than someone in a coffin.
